But it's not that. If the industry I was raised in, what I chose to focus my school work around, if that started to fail I'd have to move to. Because industries come and go. To expect permanent job safety is childish.
Well the difference is that the industry was up and regulated out of existence. Plus there are a slew of socio-economic factors. If you're going to regulate an entire industry away for the common good (something I support) then we should provide substantial retrainment and relocation opportunities to those affected.
Just abandoning them and saying "sucks to live in WV" is not a good solution.
