He’s a woman beating piece of garbage that doesn’t deserve to be here and I honestly don’t care about what rights he thinks he has

You’re screaming about a guy who has not been convicted of any of these crimes in court…and yet you were perfectly happy to cast your vote for a man found guilty by a jury for 34 felonies in falsifying records to pay off a porn star, as well as being found liable by another jury for “sexual assault”…which would have been rape in any other state. The hypocrisy is off the charts.

I like Trump, but I don’t like or agree with everything he does. This is one such case. Not everything can be built in the US. Punishing Apple because of it is counterproductive.

You should care. The right to justice is a fundamental human right, and if they can take that away from anyone, they can take it away from you too. Due process is an expression of justice, and we minimize it or cast it away at our own peril. In this case it means that law enforcement’s assertions must be proven, as with anyone else. The presumption of our system is that one is innocent until and unless proven guilty, and that goes for anyone.

You have to remember that their infallible Pope, Trump, said this guy was a criminal and a gang member and, so, should be deported. So, the facts and due process matter not to them. Their false god has spoken and they just blindly "believe" the disinformation.

Don't folks want to "buy American"?

It's turned out wonderfully for some!

Sorry but I don't care that a woman beating pos that was here illegally was deported. Anyone who beats women gets ZERO sympathy from me and his rights to "justice" matter little to me.

I'm showing cause and effect. And that trump is a poor business man. Coke is leaving because they can't afford the tariffs on aluminum, sugar and shifting the tariffs on to American stores that import the drinks.
Next apple will close all their retail stores and let the carriers sell iPhones and deal with the tariffs.

What else do you see in your crystal ball?

Coke can afford the tarrifs, they just don't want to pay them. I love how democrats spoke of corporate greed for 4 years when Biden was in office and now it's all about protecting the corporations. Weird.

So, am I correct that you don’t care about “innocent unless proven guilty”? That this might as well be removed from your justice system? Or maybe only in situations where it doesn’t matter to you? Should laws maybe be enforced selectively?

I am sorry that justice for all (you talk about it every time you say the pledge of allegiance) means so little to you. Hopefully you will never find yourself in need of justice with no one to deliver it to you.

I'm sorry but you're wrong.

"But the judge who presided over his 2019 case said that based on the confidential information, there was sufficient evidence to support Mr Abrego Garcia's gang membership. That finding was later upheld by another judge."
1) You should reread those docs, then reread this thread. The info in question was from a now convicted corrupt cop, was never verified, and PG county later withdrew their assertions. The judges didnt make a decision based on merit, they deferred to PG county, and when the assertion was withdrawn they also withdrew the decisions.

2) both those judges were immigration judges, which (and I do realize this is less commonly understood so maybe you dont know) are *not the same* as federal judges. Immigration judges work for the DOJ and are part of the executive branch, not the judicial branch. Every Judicial branch judge, the folks that actually handle federal law and are not beholden to the DOJ, that has touched this case has ruled for Garcia.

Btw the fact that IJ’s arent really real Judges in the sense most Americans think of the word is also why an administrative warrant from one isnt enough for ICE to enter somewhere, they need an actual federal judge to sign off with a real warrant. They do not, in any way, have the same power as an actual judge on the federal bench, and their decisions do not carry the same weight

When he wife asks for a restraining order against him I tend to belive her when she gives very detailed descriptions of the multiple times he physically assaulted her. But you go ahead and keep defending that scum bag all you want.
She obtained a temporary restraining order, it’s true. It was prudent and necessary to give this to her because of the possible risk of harm. It wasn’t permanent because she would have to do more than accuse him of assault; she’d have to prove it. She’d have to prove it for the simple reason that people lie; that’s what our justice system is supposed to protect against. Yes, she accused him of an ugly, despicable crime (more than once, apparently); an accusation is insufficient reason to throw someone into a foreign gulag for life, though.

She also took back the order, they’ve stayed married, and it’s been a long time without a new order. Benefit of the doubt suggests they had a huge fight and mended things

Coke can afford the tariffs… for awhile. But businesses generally don't like to lose money. Anything that eats into profits is investigated. Anything that prevents them breaking even is cause for sacking of executives so they can right the ship. If the current Coca-cola CEO decides to eat the tariffs and they didn't break even that quarter, he would be fired and the next CEO would make the easy and cost-saving decision to leave the USA. Don't like it? Too bad! That's corporatism in the USA! Don't like it, stop using corporate entities to do business… if you even can.

Also, it's not that Democrats are trying to protect corporations, it's more like they're calling out Trump's stupidity with pointless tariffs and trade decisions that will harm all of the USA, but especially the less well-off Americans. Most of those will be in red states, so take of that what you will.

Well.. now that a Federal court has ruled the "arbitrary" Presidential tariffs are not legal.. what happens?

For starters, the market will get a nice bump tomorrow, Apple will as well. (Doesn't hurt that NVIDIA had good results after hours)

Then what?

*trump will take credit for the market bump as well..
Our lord the king will be sore displeased that the judiciary has looked askance at the exertions of his sovereign will to do anything and everything that he pleases without any restraints.
