Yup... and to address the current topic, simply suggesting or "thinking out loud" that injecting bleach should be considered to cure Covid should have been a clue. Even a normal 3rd grader would have known better. But not demented Trump.

Dementia manifests in many ways. Sometimes the person can't find the words, and is slowed down, and sometimes they or someone else is still energetically, verbally fluent, but what they say makes no real sense. Trump has exhibited both behaviors many times.

that was here illegally.
Let’s correct that for a sec: that had protected status from being deported, and specifically if was to be deported protected from being deported to el salvador by a 2019 court ruling that the Trump admin ignored. Everything else is immaterial, it doesnt matter if the dude ate live puppies on the atlantic city boardwalk, the Trump admin broke the law. Doesnt matter if the guy was worse than hitler, the only way to make sure the law is applied fairly to you and me is to make sure it’s applied fairly to everyone.

They also deported at least 50 other folks who were here legally or with protected status and hadnt broken immigration law (source the cato institute, about as far from liberal as you can get: https://www.cato.org/blog/50-venezu...ame-us-legally-never-violated-immigration-law). All to CECOT for what seems to apparently be a life sentence without any possibility of appeal, access to legal council, court conviction, or any due process

You want to try and defend that be my guest

There was no tax on tips, no tax on overtime, no tax on auto interest etc. in the Tax bill of 2017.
Yup. That point needs to be reiterated--the 2017 bill contained no provisions for those things, nor did any federal budget bill that was passed during Trump's first term. They're in the yet-to-be-passed bill still before Congress.

Exactly. And that means, in this case, that if the basis of his deportation was his criminal behavior, then the justice of the deportation is only ensured by establishing in court that he is in fact a criminal. In other words: due process, not a bare unsubstantiated claim by law enforcement.

President Donald Trump escalated his trade rhetoric Friday, targeting Apple with a potential 25% tariff unless the company manufactures iPhones domestically rather than anywhere else.

Apple-iPhone-16-family-lineup.jpg

The warning came via Truth Social after CEO Tim Cook announced earlier this month that Indian facilities would handle the majority of U.S. iPhone sales. Apple's pivot to India was widely seen as a strategy to sidestep Chinese manufacturing amid ongoing trade tensions.
The U.S. president brought up the issue just last week during his Middle East trip. "I had a little problem with Tim Cook yesterday," Trump said during his state visit to Qatar. "He is building all over India."

Apple had reportedly planned to source all 60+ million annual US iPhone sales from India by late 2026. Meanwhile, key supplier Foxconn is investing $1.5 billion to expand Indian production, including a display module facility near Chennai.

The threat sent Apple shares tumbling 3% in pre-market trading Friday.

Trump's demand would force a major shift from Apple's current manufacturing strategy, which relies heavily on Asian suppliers for cost efficiency and established supply chains. Moving iPhone production to the U.S. would likely require massive infrastructure investments and could substantially increase device costs, but there's simply no way Apple could pull off the transition. According to Wedbush, producing iPhones in the U.S. could push prices to ~$3,500 and take 5–10 years to implement, making it unfeasible.

Hmmmmm…. Ok “Mr president, no one will work in an apple factory in the USA for less than minimum wage “. Trump - “how can we reduce the minimum wage?”.

Why was he protected from being deported to El Salvador? Oh right, he was worried about gang retaliation. But I thought he wasn’t in a gang… Very confusing.

He’s a woman beating piece of garbage that doesn’t deserve to be here and I honestly don’t care about what rights he thinks he has. You can stand up for him all day long, it doesn’t matter to me. He’s a horrific person and he was here illegally and is a citizen of El Salvador. They can have him.

Where did I say that Trump said to inject bleach? Some other people claimed that, but I didn't. At the time, I knew he hadn't said that specifically, and so I thought it was unfortunate that he was being accused of suggesting bleach as the specific disinfectant to inject, since I knew that would come back to bite the people making that specific claim. What Trump says is bad enough without having to imagine him having said something he didn't.

Sorry I didn’t mean to say that you said that. I apologize.

Fun fact btw: that “investigation” that kinda kicked things off for this dude, that unsubstantiated claim, the ties to MS13 claim that turned out to be a nothingburger? That cop was, literally a week later, removed from duty for “providing information to a commercial sex worker who he was paying in exchange for sexual acts,”

His family’s pupusa restaurant was being threatened by organized crime, something you’d know if you had actually read about this case instead of regurgitating Trump’s lies

That’s literally the problem. The only way to guarantee rights for everyone is to, well, guarantee rights for everyone. Otherwise the cops just say you’re a bad guy and haul you off and that’s it. He has rights because that’s the only way things work for anyone having rights at all. Also it’s not rights he thinks he has, it’s literally rights he has, period.

I’m standing up for his rights, not him. Either this is a difficult concept for you or you’re deliberately misunderstanding, either way you’re not demonstrating comprehension, so let’s try this again: he has rights, no matter if he’s a crappy dude or not. It’s really that simple
He’s a horrific person
No court has actually established that, that’s your opinion but we dont just send people to permanent horrific conditions because you dont like them
and he was here illegally
And protected from deportation under a court order
and is a citizen of El Salvador.
Who is under credible threat from group in ES, which is why again he was protected by a court order from being sent back there, which is directly inline with US law for deportation and avoiding directly and deliberately placing those that are deported in harm’s way
They can have him.
Legally they cant. Also, technically, they dont really now. Technically speaking the prisoners Trump deported to CECOT are still US prisoners that the Trump admin is paying El Salvador to lock up. Fun fact btw, even el salvador found the threats to this dude’s safety credible, and the idea that he’s a member of MS13 not credible, and thus moved him to a protected unit in CECOT.

Lastly, I, personally, have dealt with the end result of MS13 violence. I have been EMS on scene at the response to MS13 gang violence, many times (I used to be volley EMS near the center of MS13 gang activity in the US until a new job made getting there for my shifts impossible). I am very very familiar with what they do to people who wont play ball, as this guy’s fam and their restaurant didnt, and I wouldnt wish it on my worst enemy.

Be cheaper to pay the 25% tax than to build it in the USA.

It would also be possible, spinning up a fab to build 2nm chips (because TSMC won't do that outside of Taiwan) and catching up to them building your own fab, or having intel do it will take years - possibly never due to the head start TSMC has; you'd never be able to compete or make the fab economically viable when starting from nothing. Intel can't and they're experienced in CPU fab.

Has intel even got 7nm working properly yet?

Lol. And what was the net increase per household under Biden?

Answer: roughly $17,000 per year.
That’s a worldwide phenomenon, and we outperformed the world. Trump’s was totally policy driven and self-inflicted to favor the wealthiest. Thank you, but I didn’t ask for the tax cut at the expense of everyone else. I wanted 2017 tax reform that would simplify the tax code and eliminate loopholes and cheats, while encouraging corporate repatriating. You need to understand the difference in the argument…inflation wasn’t the result of policy, but Trump’s tax increase directly was.

Come on. Trump routinely gives impromptu press conferences. Biden rarely granted even pre-scripted press appearances.
Trump can’t give a scripted speech. He has the attention span of a 50 year old in their first hour after a colonoscopy. I don’t get the fascination with prepared speeches and whatnot. I was a Bush fan, I was a McCain fan, I was an Obama fan, I was a Romney fan, I voted for Trump 1, I voted for Biden, and I voted Harris. There’s only one vote I regret, and that’s the man that embarrassed me and has destroyed the Republican Party. Some of those candidates were old, some were young, some dynamic, some stumbled. Only one couldn’t speak two sentences without making **** up and lying.

Two different courts found credible evidence that he was a member of MS-13. I guess that is irrelevant though. Should he have been deported to El Salvador, no, because that was against what the courts decided. But making him the poster child for the Democratic Party is laughable. Propping this wife beating thug up as just a regular ole good guy Dad who mean Trump sent away is laughable and predictable. It’s not under dispute that he beat his wife on multiple occasions. But this “Maryland Man” was in fact here illegally and should have been deported, but I don’t disagree that sending him to El Salvador was the right thing to do because it went against a court order.

forget about gang members, trump has already moved on to American citizens in Alabama: https://www.nbcnews.com/news/latino...on-raid-real-id-handcuffed-alabama-rcna208794

Do you think of usa when you think of coca cola? they are leaving USA. 3 Walmarts near Chicago are closing down because of the tariffs ( Lincolnwood, Plainfield, Homewood). so much winning.

No, they didn't. That is a flat out lie. I also want to point out that it’s technically libel and slander because of that and MR’s could be liable for that, so careful what you bring down here.

If you are somehow just mistaken instead of knowingly lying feel free to post what you think they said, but I promise you they did not. The cop who said he was was arrested himself for corruption a week later, I linked to that in this thread already. That link also includes all the court cases. Remember, even the admin admitted deporting him was a mistake

Well those arrests are wrong and should not have happened. No one said they didn't make mistakes. I don't support that at all so not sure what you want me to say about it.

With coke and Walmart you are acting like this is the first time a company has left the US or a store has closed down. Give me a break.

I'm showing cause and effect. And that trump is a poor business man. Coke is leaving because they can't afford the tariffs on aluminum, sugar and shifting the tariffs on to American stores that import the drinks.
Next apple will close all their retail stores and let the carriers sell iPhones and deal with the tariffs.

Donald Trump is the modern day P.T. Barnum, a large baby with small hands. He has no inkling or understanding of any business model, unless it's a failing one. Bringing iPhone production to the USA would costly and time consuming- it would never happen during his administration. He's a Buffoon, a Clown and probably pees sitting down.
