The real reason American politicians want to ban TikTok is because popular videos on there are informing young American people that Israel is committing a genocide in Gaza. In addition, Israeli soldiers are posting videos showing themselves sadistically enjoying committing atrocities in Gaza because many people in Israel find it funny, and American politicians don't want Americans to see that and learn the truth about how most Israelis not only support such utterly evil behavior, but find it to be enjoable entertainment. An extension of the ban is just an example of the "carrot and a stick" concept: if you do what I say you'll get a carrot, otherwise you'll get hit with a stick.
With its closed ecosystem Apple gave Trump a lot of power. If sideloading was possible, a ban would not be enforceable.
That “trump phone” will be vapor-ware… You’ll pay a pre-release fee and it will never be released… That or his sons will have someone spray paint old iPhone 13 Pro’s with gold metallic paint and put a sticker on the back..
But the faithful will go for it… just like they did on everything else he puts his name on..
The sell off will not happen because China will not cooperate. All these delays are doing is allowing China to obtain more and more of US tiktok users data. Just ban it and be done with it. Bytedance has had ample opportunity to sell off to a US company but they have not done so, probably because China has refused them to do so.

China has to sign off on any purchase agreement that TikTok parent company ByteDance makes with a U.S. company, and Trump's tariffs have reportedly led to trade tensions that have seen China refuse to cooperate.
This aint never getting banned. Laws dont mean anything anymore. Dident the family of Pablo Escobar do the exact same thing a few years back. They took a bunch of either refurbished or stolen samsung galaxy folds, put a gold sticker on them, tried to get pre orders...send one out to MBKHD and the FBI Got involved....

Oh we are not that lucky. I wish to god we were...but we are not. Remember i think his mother and father both lived into their 90s! (Trumps dad was 93 and his mother was 88)..... We still got 14 more years left atleast....god help us all

It is banned already, but certainly not by Trump. It was banned by Congress and signed into law by Biden, and the ban went into effect before Trump became President again. He refuses to enforce the ban. This is unconstitutional.
