I have file IPCC 5.0 on FW 3.1 (non jailbroken) and I DO NOT have a camera in my texts. I do have the family messaging plan on my account which does allow for picture messages. My question is, do I need to modified IPCC 5.1 to get it to work now? I would rather just leave it as default and get it to work. Is that possible as of today or do I need to wait till the 25th for that to be enabled?

You can install the 5.1 IPCC and reinstall 5.0 if MMS happens to not work since there are still some areas that it isnt working but the general consensus is that if you have the family plan it is working.

So far, I have confirmed it is working for me as well, in the IE. I did what you suggested, and it worked. Nice find!
 
So now I need to know if anyone else has this problem and how they fixed it...

See that arrow? If i back out of the screen i see text under the sender name BUT all I see is an arrow and no text / pic.

hmm... I don't have that problem at all.

I guess MMS was still working. Just with 2 bars of Edge signal it sent slow as crap. Finally sent after about 3-5 minutes. When on 3G...only takes a few seconds.

Well I'll be damned.

Updated the carrier file to 5.1 and it works.

Tried this months ago but always got the exclamation point. did the sim swap and changed my iphone 200 text to regular 200 text, but never got it to work. So I just restored and decided to wait it out.

OS 3.1 ~ iTunes 9 ~ Northern Virginia ~ regular (not iphone) 200 text message plan ~ carrier file 5.1
 
Installed 5.1 on 3.1 with iTunes 9 in Mentor, OH. Not working. I got the camera icon, but no tethering options and no working MMS.

Try this now


Steps:
Settings
General
reset
reset network settings.

Phone will reboot....send a MMS message.
 
Here are my settings. Also, I have 5.0 ipcc. Not that 5.1 job that's floating around. This works on me and my wife's phone.
