I uploaded the 5.1 and got MMS working. but even before I did that I noticed my phone was dropping calls under 3.1. When I upgraded to 3.1 I restored from a back up. I am considering restoring my phone as a new phone to see if this helps with the dropped calls. Does anyone know if I will loose 5.1? Thanks

Used your IPCC and I lost my camera icon. Tried rebooting, applied file again, reset network settings, reboot, and no camera icon. Original ipcc i used gave me camera icon.

You can install the 5.1 IPCC and reinstall 5.0 if MMS happens to not work since there are still some areas that it isnt working but the general consensus is that if you have the family plan it is working.
My MMS is not working how do I go back to 5.0? Thanks

I sent you a different file. The first file was off in size.

Am I the only one that does not have the VVM field in the settings menu? I only have Cellular data and MMS. My VVM doesn't work with either carrier files. Just curious if anyone else is missing this field. Thanks!

I must be one of the lucky ones. MMS works perfectly with 5.0 and 3.1. Also can send voice notes via MMS and photos from the camera rolls. Works on both 3G and WiFi. Can also MMS locations from within Maps. Indeed, anything that allows sharing gives MMS access. VVM works as normal.

Only thing I don't have is tethering.

I have the family text plan. Located in Laguna Beach, CA.

just started working for me today - iphone text plan (Not family)

iphone 3.0.1/5.0 (tweaked)

Did you need to install or configure something to get it to work? I am in the same area and nothing on my end.

I think it's been determined that location doesn't mean anything really. I am in Syracuse, NY and someone else here was as well. Mine doesn't work, his does.

Syracuse isn't some huge city so.....

3G 8GB, OS 3.01 w/ MMS & Tethering @ SF Bay Area, CA

Here's the order of how I did things:

1. Installed OS 3.01
2. Jailbreak (not required)
3. Enabled tethering via help.BenM.at
4. Installed Carrier 5.0 (didn't input any settings, as it just worked after reboot)

= both MMS & Tethering

Will not work

Ok so I tried a thousand times to do this and I cannot get it to work. I went to the http://www.krillr.com/blog/N72ZCXJH/tutorial-mms-on-iphone-os-31-att link and followed those instructions, I downloaded the altered file. Ran the command prompt line as well. And when I SHIFT-click (PC) the box comes up go to the drop down menu to say ipcc config file I go to my desktop were I saved the file. I click on ATT_US file then go to PAYLOAD then ATT_US.bundle file the file is empty in ITunes. I don’t know where the altered ipcc file is. Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong?

PS. http://rapidshare.com/files/255854728/ATT_US.ipcc.html this link gives me an error when I go to the page also.

Still nothing for me but three other folks have it working. I also lost my ability to send group text. Meaning picked 2 people does same think that it does when sending a picture text. Goes to the end then gets stuck and stops. I thought for sure others had that issue but now can't find it. So anyone have that and get it fixed?

No, didn't have to do a thing. Just installed 5.0, (Rapidshare download from the head of this thread), turned my phone off and then on again and everything worked just fine.

Mine is still going strong in its third week. Now I noticed something. When I take a pic and want to send it, I normally add some text, and then send it. But it shows it like if I sended two seperate messages. I dont have unlimited and Im already over the 200 text. So my here's my question, Will at&t count them as two messages or only one? I haven't had mms in a long time since i've only used an iphone these past year's.

Well i can add to the many many people that MMS kinda works for me now. I'm in Boston and i have one of the many 5.1 carrier files installed. I forget which one, i have tried so many but today it finally worked. I can send an MMS to myself and i get it. I sent one to my buddy on Verizon and he got it. But he sent me one and I didn't get it yet. So it kinda works. I guess tomorrow it will totally work, hopefully.

I have a regular iPhone Text plan 1500.

It seems mine was enabled last night. Just happened to try it after a few days of it not working. Sending and receiving fine.

w00t.

Regular iphone plan (single person) w/ unlimited text.
