Just got the update!

Plug your iPhone into iTunes (I'm on iTunes 9), check for updates like you are looking for new firmware. iTunes will say there is a new carrier file. Choose to install it.

It installs very fast. Mine works perfectly. Actually this was basically on time (around 1:00 p.m. EDT) and no problems. Phone and voicemail continue to work without a problem as well.

I sent a test MMS (photo). Recipient got it immediately and replied back.

I'm on 16GB 3G on 3.1 Jailbroken.

Oh, and I'm in Ohio.

Two Questions

(1) Did you receive a text message from AT&T?
(2) Do you have to update to 3.1 for MMS to work?

I have a jailbroken 3GS with 3.0.1.

I had to reboot. Sent a photo to someone on Verizon with a blackberry. They got the photo, but their reply was some kind of header to the photo thing and none of their text reply.

I'm not ready to upgrade my 3GS to 3.1 so I am upgrading my 3G to 3.1 so I can get the update. I can't live without my jailbreak on the 3GS.

Got it!

I am able to send pictures via MMS from my 3G, and I am able to get video/pictures from my friend's 3GS.

I also got Internet Tethering unlocked when I updated my settings, But when I tried to use it, It went away.

Orlando, Florida

I already had MMS working thanks to 5.1 AT&T .ipcc. So I am keeping my jailbreak and that 5.1 setting... besides it gives me free tethering and Visual Voice mail is not screwed up.

MMS not working

I checked for update in iTunes, installed the carrier update, synced my iphone, rebooted it, and there's no camera icon in Messages. I have a 2G iPhone w/ OS 3.1 in NYC. Anyone else have the same issue? Thoughts?

Mine's working great. I'm on the edge network (no 3G way up here) but I'm not having an issues. The first few regular texts I sent were sort of slow but now it seems to be working fine. Pictures are sent and received with no issues.

seems to be sending fine in St. Louis. My friend is updating now so I guess he can't receive MMS before the update.
