Andy Ihnatko just tweeted that he was told that most Apple Stores received a large shipment of iPad 2s today, and that tomorrow would be a good day to try to get one. No guarantees, but Andy is knowledgeable and well-connected.

Yeah I saw @SoldierKnowBest retweet that, interesting. I'm not sure if I wanna bother again though. I was tricked into going twice and got turned down.

In line at Caesars palace/LV. Already about 40 people. Prospects probably aren't good, I hate to say.

Thanks for the tip! Westfarms got a bunch and I snagged the last 3G model. They still have a bunch of wifi models left. Now I just need to get through this line of happy people (there are probably 50 people ahead of me).

Large groups of Russian and Chinese nationals in line here. Hope we get an idea of what they have soon. Sounds like a united nations meeting here, haha.

Resellers are coming in force. About 2 every 5 minutes, and one guy passing out the cash. :( All on their phones and calling their buddies I'd imagine.

Apple Store in Reston, VA was open at 9am.

Not sure what the original stock was, but, they had just sold their last 3G (don't know size or type) and the girl had a stack of cards for only 32GB White Wifis (I'd guess around 30). This was at about 9:05.

I was one of the last people to get them in Raleigh NC. Snagged two 64Gb AT&T in black. There were approx 100 people in line when I got there at 8am.

Honestly, not a huge market here so I didn't notice anyone that looked to be reselling. it was largely moms, working dudes, random hipster, ect... your average apple store customers.

Raleigh in the Crabtree Mall had 'em

Got there around 5am and there was 20th in line. Been going to this store for a few years and recognized about 5 or 6 people in line... they were Apple employees (got to love that Apple doesn't give their employees preferential treatment for high-demand items!).

There were approximately 100 people in line and it looked like the apple employee giving out tickets were almost to the end of the line. Looked like everyone was getting an iPad who was in line.

They had ALL skus available. I was able to get 2 64GB AT&T iPads.

Good day to get an iPad 2!

LOL... I should have slept in if you got there at 8am! Good to see another Raleigh person on the forums.

Sounds like a good portion of the stores were pretty well stocked this morning, yes? Still haven't heard a peep from them in Vegas.

Well staten island didn't have any for sale this Aam, so I'm going to line up at like 5 tomorrow morning. I'm going to Florida tomorrow and I want an AT&T one before I get there,... Verizon sucks and Im not happy with it all, I will gladly do an even trade for an AT&T one

I follow Andy Ihnatko as well, but I find this claim to be BS. Apple does not ship "large quantities" to all their stores equally. They have inventory management systems that tell them which stores need more inventory. Why would they send a large shipment to an Apple Store in the middle of Wisconsin and overload them when an Apple Store in NYC/Atlanta/Chicago/etc has ten times the demand?

The production pipeline may be picking up and stores may see their shipments get larger, but I doubt that the store that was only getting 8-10 iPads a day up to now will start getting shipments of 50-100 units.

This was at 7:00. I was 18th in line and picked up 2 32 wifi black for my wife and myself. They had a mixture of AT&T but no black 32 by the time I got up to the front. There were about 20 people behind me so if you are close to the store you might still get one or two.
