Finally got my 32gb white!!..got to my apple store around 5 45..was about 15th in line..apple employee told me they brought in about 100 units..it's been a great day

It baffles me why people insist on waiting in line at 6 am when you can easily be notified of available stock at Target via the Python script posted in another thread. I was notified via email, went right to my local Target, and walked out with the iPad 2 I wanted 10 minutes later. And that's in a major metropolitan area...

Because Target gets one to two units each store, I've tried many times. It looks like Apple can meet demand if these large shipments continue. Everyone that came before 9 rec. a ticket at my local mall.

While Apple stores may get larger shipments, it does appear easier to procure one (assuming one has patience) from Target. Check out the Target thread stickied for more information where you can check online inventory that's pretty close to real time (probably only an hour off).

Went to my local apple store and the lady told me that there was a large shipment that came in and expected to have much of the same the rest of the week. I got there around 11 so of course they sold out. So off to the mall early in the morning.

does anyone think target will get shipment everyday this week? tried today and only have 5 white 64gb..not what i wanted waiting on the 32gb black

Fellow Portlanders How does everybody know when I ipad is in stock at the apple store? Do you just go there in the morning or call the store to find out its in stock if so what time?

I just went based on rumors of a shipment today (Bridgeport was nearest to where I live). I had to go past Washington Square on the way to work after I gave up at Bridgeport so I stopped there to check just in case.

Finally my local Apple store had a large inventory today. Showed up early, spent about an hour in line to get my 64GB AT&T iPad 2 in black.

Everyone was orderly & seemed to get the models they wanted. A good day for all.

Columbus apple stores?

So since those bas^&%ds at fed ex lost my ipad and the a&&holes at apple put me in the back of the line...I am now on the hunt for an ipad sooner than the end of April which is where I now am in line...can you tell I am bitter?

Anyway..what time should I line up at apple store..and any columbus, OH peeps have info about how the stock has been at easton location?

Found Mine in Iowa

I had to settle for a Black Wifi 16 gb instead of 32 gb, but I think the space will be just fine for my uses.

My local Apple Store has a sign in the front that says "WE receive shipments daily, check back tomorrow" so I guess if I go in the morning, they won't come out and say they don't have any?

I called the Plaza Apple store in Kansas City around 12:30pm. They had 3 Verizon 64GB's left. One white and two black. They told me they could not hold it for me, but decided to drive down. Picked up one of the black ones around 1:15pm.

They person that sold it to me said this is the first day they've had any iPad 2's still in stock that late in the day.

I was at the new Polaris store yesterday looking at iMacs and they were doing regular announcements that they had a few models in stock. This was at about 11am. If you can make it there, you might be better off. It's only about 20 minutes. I think it's under visited because not many people realize it's there.

I bypassed the Palisades Center store in West Nyack and drove the extra 25 minutes to the Tice's Corner store in Montvale, NJ. I arrived at 8:30 and there was a line of about 50 people ahead of me. One girl walked around offering to sell her 4th in line spot for $300. Given that the majority of people on line were, ahem, "older" adults, myself included, her offer was met with a few chuckles and wisecracks. After the store opened at 9:00, one of her friends came out of the store with 2 iPads and offered to sell one to anyone on line. He was met with a similar reaction. The line moved smoothly and we were let into the store four at a time. By the time I got in they were out of 16gb but I was able to get what I wanted - 32gb black Verizon. Transaction done by 9:30 .
