Works fine for me in Australia

Where can I get one of those remote control holders????
here is also USA, but not all apps authenticate so I'm wondering how apple is doing the global search, my guess is the same as Hulu? I guess I will wait and see when the os coms out because as of now I'm gonna stay on 9 to see if they jailbreak it because I don't want to re-sign my apps every 7 days in the future. That is up to your local cable providers like in the USA. Even here their are some providers who do not authenticate apps.
Is it an iPhone stand? I've charged mine on one before...Where can I get one of those remote control holders????

Probably not. The Apple TV is not a good gaming device. It's about equivalent to a iOS game in terms of experience. Sure, it's on a big screen, but the default controller is horrible for gaming, and the processing inside is equivalent to an iPhone 6, which is reasonably powerful, but we're not talking about gaming level processing here. Nowhere near it.I remember when the ATV4 was released and games *had* to support the Apple controller. Now they won't. Wonder if that initial decision hampered game development
They should do something about the awful remote. SO badly designed. I always skip ahead by accident. The two other people I know who use the remote hate it with a passion.
Thanks Tim for failing to design a simple remote
It amazed me that dark mode took this long. I can't believe everyone at Apple thought bright white was a great idea for a TV menu. Dark mode should be the default. Lights are off you just finished watching a show and BAM! The room is filled with light and you are all blinded.
A bit dramatic but still. Do they really not have someone like Scott Forstall to tell them obvious design choices?
Yes, Puerto Rico is a part of the US.You said 'in PR' I thought that meant Puerto Rico. Global search also goes by region I believe. Contact your local cable provider and ask them why they don't authenticate network apps.
What happens when a show or movie is on and the scene is really bright? Do you get blinded?
There's absolutely nothing wrong with a clean, white interface. In fact, I find the new design to be beautiful and a nice departure from everything else out there, including the old ATV interface.
Samsung loved it so much they copied it almost down to the pixel for their smart TVs.
Dark mode just gives us an option, and it looks like it's in keeping with the light/dark option that's available for Mac and coming to iOS devices.
The additions are nice, but nothing too earth-shattering... The product is somewhat new so that's understandable, but I had hoped we'd get picture-in-picture. If there is one logical next step for that feature, it was to bring it to the Apple TV, but hopefully it'll make its way there in the next update.
to turn down sensitivity or even see if you prefer using your iPhone or iPad it makes a much larger touch surfaceThey should do something about the awful remote. SO badly designed. I always skip ahead by accident. The two other people I know who use the remote hate it with a passion.

They did something about that already, happened an update or two ago. Fast forward/rewind now require you to pause first and it seems like they made the edges of the touch pad less sensitive. I miss being able to scrub forward without pausing but I don't miss the accidental fast forward/rewind as I pick up the remote and accidentally touched an edge of the touchpad.
Try

My only complaint is that the remote is symmetrical and sometimes I'll be swiping away on the glass for a while "wtf why isn't t working?"

I guess iOS 10 requires using curtains for dark mode.

Go for it MR, now's your golden chance to find negativity in this. You get prompted on your iPhone? That's just Apple trying to sell iPhones. Dark mode? That's Apple trying to not appear racist. Typical liberals. New remote app? That's another way of saying the old app sucks. Come on, let's view life though negative lens. It's the MR way!
