Can someone explain for the life of me why can't Tweebot authenticate using Twitter accounts integrated in iOS? What is this requesting token request non sense all about?

Bought it. I love it, especially on the iPad, but it's not a major upgrade for iPhone users. The main things I noticed are landscape mode, activity view (which seems to matter more for those who frequently tweets), Safari View Controller (for content blocker... BTW, Apple needs to add "Done" gesture to SVC), and San Francisco font option.

Apple Watch and 3D Touch are perhaps the most glaring omissions. Tapbots did promise 3D Touch support is coming soon, however.

Anyway, I use Tweetbot several times a day, so I am glad to pay $4.99 and support Tapbots.

Is it worth it?

running Tweetbot 3 on 8.4 iPad Air 2 Jailbroken with Fullforce and Eclipse enabled, looks beautiful. moot since not going to be on iOS 9 yet for that

But maybe for my 6s+ that's on Tweetbot 3... worth the $4.99?

You're going to pay $4.99 (limited time mind you) on an app that gives you one less app to buy on the off chance you want to load it on an iPad air2 (or iPad pro if you're into that sort of thing). That's WAY too much $$ for a twitter app.

Sorry if I missed this, but does the new version support 3d Touch? I am really hoping either Tweetbot or Twitterrific support this feature soon......

iPad update took way to long in my opinion but I hope its worth the wait. Already purchased and have no problem supporting developers who make such a great app. I think they are pretty smart about how they've gone about their "upgrade" pricing. Now we just need some 3D Touch and an Apple Watch app.
I agree. I'll take it a step further and ask how could they *not* include even basic Quick Action support? You'd think they'd rush in Peak and Pop as well.

The guys at Tapbots lost me a long time ago when they just simply stopped updating their apps. Now I guess they are all in on Tweetbot... no thanks. Same old. They wait a long time to update an app just so they can call it a "major" version and charge you again. Pathetic. I'll never buy another app from these guys, and I've had almost all of their apps including Tweetbot (for Mac).

Ugh I have to pay AGAIN to upgrade?! (coming from 2-->3-->4?)

*pays the $5 anyways*

They have this down. Never give regular updates, then bring out the new *major* version, charge. Repeat and repeat.

Night mode is one of the main reasons I'll only use Tweetbot.
I like it because it syncs between iPad and iPhone the best with List and List management support.

They'll probably add that in tweetbot 5 in a years time lol
This is so true. They straight up stopped working on the iPad version one iOS7 was released. Animated twitter pics didn't work on iPad. The sucks imo.

But the fact that any company now (DISH, DirecTV, Verizon I think?, etc. etc. have TWO different apps for the iPhone and iPad. Doesn't make sense. Just make it universal and save the headache. Instead of having to support and maintain two versions you simply have one. No brainer to me, UNLESS there is something super specific you do or don't want the iPhone/iPad doing.

Edit again: The menu does seem snappier when comparing to v3 on the iPhone.
