Received mine today also. I love the rich texture of the worn leather on the outside and the very soft suede inner liner. My corner pockets were tight at first but loosened up within an hour after iPad insertion. The zipper is as nice as any zippered notebook/planner I have seen. I love the look and feel of this case.
The stand mechanism:
I am a lap user and have been since day one. I have a home theater and work from home many days so I spend lots of time either on my reclined home theater seating or on very large luv-sacs positioned as my front row. I curl up on these sacs almost daily and rest the iPad on my legs or lap. With the tether mechanism it is better than I expected in this position. I like how secure the strap makes the angle and how it can be adjusted by just pulling more of the tether towards the rear to stand higher (landscape only) and less so for a table/desktop typing position. I rarely type on a desk so I really did not anticipate needing to extend the tether for this but I like the fact that I can adjust for typing infinitely to the angle that works for my situation. I do less than half my content creation at a desk.
I am not 100% satisfied with the BookBook, however. The tether may work well when used as a stand but when I then go to close it, I have to tuck the tether somewhere where it doesn't get caught in the zipper. I think the best plan is to wrap it around the iPad above it, just below the zipper.
I hope this helps those considering ordering this very unique case. To be honest, I use my iPad 75% of my days so how it feels in my hands is my number one concern. This case feels excellent so for me, so far, its a winner.
