Should download the Tweeten app then. Tweetdeck, but better. And for nearly every platform and free: http://tweetenapp.com/

Have used the Tweetdeck Web app/page (https://tweetdeck.twitter.com) for years, and haven't found it all that lacking. Checked the Tweeten page and am unclear on the advantages, especially if it's used as only a browser extension; not sure I care one way or another about having a standalone app. Also, isn't Tweeten as vulnerable as other apps to Twitter's tendency to screw over third-party apps using its APIs (which isn't much of an issue with the Tweetdeck Web page since Twitter owns it)? I've seen articles saying, "Yeah, Tweeten will be good to have in case Twitter kills the Tweetdeck Web page," but wouldn't Tweeten (and any similar app) also die as a result since it appears to be based on Tweetdeck? Would appreciate some enlightenment.

Can anyone help, I use the Twitter for Mac app but I've neglected to update to the latest version and now it won't let me :( Does anyone know where I can download the most up to date version of the app? Or could someone help me by putting theirs online to donload?

Would really really appreciate it!

Sorry to bump, can anyone help?

I can’t upload the latest one but I’m not even sure it would work. As an App Store download, I think it would be locked to the account that originally downloaded it? But you’d honestly be better at looking at other options. Even the latest release didn’t support 280 characters, image previews for new tweets were broken and there were several other bugs. Tweetbot’s a good third party option but it’s costly and there are limitations imposed by the API, such as no support for polls and limited results in searches as well as conversation threads for older tweets tending to get truncated after they’re several days old. However it’s a well designed client and if you use Twitter mainly, “in the present”, works very well. It’s timeline syncing between devices is also very useful. I’m using Tweetdeck for now though, running in Fluid, which allows you to run it as a separate app in the dock. It’s not as good as a true native app but better it’s *for me*, than using the website.

And... Its gone. I think I'm going to try to just use the website for now. It seems all the apps arent that great

I keep trying the website but it's just too different an experience and it's not even consistent, I can't access bookmarks made on the iOS app. I keep cycling back and forward between Tweetbot and Tweetdeck.

All I ever did on my Mac was post using the little widget on the notification slide-out and it still works just fine. I usually read posts on my phone or tablet. Wondering if they're working on a new app.
