So terrible 🤣

All I've done is sit back and laugh at Musk and all his incel drones who lap everything he does up for the past few years. Including his crappy, environment destroying appliances on wheels. Incredible conman.

The real world consequences if Twitter goes under will actually be painful for Musk, so he does care...and it's probably eating at him daily. If Twitter goes under, which is likely going to happen, he will be saddled with debt. He will likely have to sell off more Tesla stock, likely another two rounds at $7.5 billion each. Which then brings down the value of the stock, which then brings down his own personal wealth. There's a scenario where this can put him a billion in the hole by the end...and in that scenario, he loses Tesla.

To a degree yes, and this prob. does not give him less heartburn, but he supposedly got 1 billion from Larry Ellison, a swap of 1 billion from Dorsey but 21 billion from Qatar and the Royal Saudi Investment fund.

I wish we had the real numbers, but yeah, agreed, he is stressing hard.

LOL "study their financials". Even if Tesla were the most successful automaker to ever exist its stock would still be overvalued. The fact you even mention the msm, which has a positive opinion of Tesla, is all I needed to hear. Your head is stuck in a bubble.
It doesn’t matter what you think overvalued or not. It’s irreverent. He’s the world’s richest man and you are not that’s all it matters.
Detroit is already taking care of Tesla. Cults don't last long.
Yeah the Big 3s really brining in the cash with their EV sales! Wait those profits were all from ICE cars. So what are they going to do in states like California when ICE car is banned in 2030? Or in China when it’s banned in 2026? You know what company lasts long? The one has no debt and generates billion of free cash flows every quarter. Guess which company fits the bill?

If they would step outside of the bubble for like, an hour...just an hour...and take a wide look at his history from x.com until now, they'd pick up on the pattern. But an hour is too much, I think.

That would require critical thinking, a very big task for them LOL. I'm blessed to have a built-in BS meter with people and personalities, I can read them like a book.

Oh Noes, X has even more competition 🤣

This all seems fun and games now but the pendulum hasn't even swung back yet towards Elon and his drones in terms of consequences. This will be a fun watch! Lol.

In life, there is no free lunch!!!

Changing an established brand into something totally generic, unrecognisable, and instantly forgettable is a new trick on me.
HBO -> Max did it just recently, so it's not new to me. But I agree, it's puzzling, will be interesting to check in 2, 5, 10 years later to think how the change impacted the business.

Oh, I see, Tesla's value equals Musk is the richest man equals me not...and that has anything to do with whether or not Tesla is overvalued? Nearly every business this guy created has failed, and he didn't create Tesla...but his leadership has led Tesla in the wrong direction so many times it's not even funny. How are those solar panels doing? Where's that robot? If the SEC took a hard look at what Musk has promised with Tesla, he'd probably end up in jail. But that's what you're into, isn't it?

Nobody needs to be profitable on EV's when they make up less than 7% of the world's car sales. It's going to pick up, maybe in 5 years it will hit 50%...but that only shows that being early to the game isn't going to amount for much. Big behemoth companies like Toyota take decades to turn the ship in a new direction. And being a big gorilla means they can quickly swallow up anything they want. In 10 years, I'm willing to bet Tesla will be remembered for its charging network...and it will probably be a subsidiary of someone else by that point. Have you learned nothing from watching the tech sector?

Have you wondered how all of us who were saying Tesla cars are overpriced for years have been proven right? Their quality doesn't match their prices even today - and the competition actually exists now...which isn't Ford, GM, or even Toyota that you keep bringing up.
Oh the competition is coming argument. How many EVs did Ford sell last quarter? Let me save you some time. It sold a whopping 8600 MachE last 3 months. You don’t even want to know how many Toyota or GM sold.

Tesla overpriced? But you all were happy to pay for dealer markups during pandemic and complained about tesla raising price? They are priced to whatever they will sell every car they produce. They have positive margin so they can afford to go on price war. It’s good for consumers when they compete on price. Why is it a bad thing? The lower the price means more people can afford it, meaning the faster the world transitions to EV. It’s win-win-win.

You keep saying GM, Ford, and Toyota. I don't consider a single one of them competition...and if you paid attention to the EV market, you wouldn't have even brought them up.

Never said it was a bad thing for prices to come down. But with a brand new, actual luxury SUV, costing in the $75k range...and Tesla's Model X costing $120k for something nobody in their right mind would call luxury...the prices absolutely have to come down. Yet, for years, many said that's the price because "batteries" are expensive. There was never a time that a Model X was worth more than $100k, literally never.

Tesla also claims to make their batteries fairly often, and I wonder how long it will be before Panasonic pulls the rug out from under them. Or should I say, for Panasonic to finish building the largest battery manufacturing plant in the US...precisely for everyone but Tesla.

Wow you need to read up on the real history of Tesla when you believe in this nonsense. You are so deep in the hatred territory that you can’t even think properly, calling Tesla and SpaceX failed business. Btw Tesla is doing 100B revenue run rate a year and SpaceX just valued at 150B. So much for failed businesses! Do you know how ridiculous you sound? Elon must be living in your head rent free. Nothing for me to add. Good bye.

tbh

I think a lot of Elon fangirls are a little embarrassed their little weirdo loser billionaire is making terrible decisions that's causing regression, so instead of being like "yeah... that's actually pretty stupid. hm maybe this guy is an idiot", they just double-down and just try to pigeon chess debate you online about inane things that are completely false. (ie: this very thread lol)
