Hmm…I’ve seen this somewhere before…

What a utterly stupid mistake to make. The bird, the word Twitter and the describing of the messages as 'tweet's' id perfect for the platform because that is what birds do when they talk to one another, they 'tweet'. Whilst it may not be the correct word to how birds do actually talk to one another, it is something we are taught as when young children that birds 'tweet' when talking to one another. Some call it 'bird song' but I digress. When referring to communications on the platform, using the wording 'did you see that tweet from so n so'? or words to that affect has become so synonymous with todays speech that it is automatically recognizable as to what a person is referring to.

Now Musk has done all away with that. Why? so he can make it is OWN company now and do away with all wording to how it used to be because he does not want the company he took over to have anything associated with the original owners. What are people going to say now? 'did you see the X yesterday?' because you can no longer call it a tweet anymore. So it will be interesting to see who comes up with the first usable wording of what the messages will become, from tweet to ???.

As of writing, the service still appears as Twitter in the official app, but expect that to also change soon.
Unless of course, app update gets rejected, which may happen. (Phil Schiller runs the App Store, and he may have a final say ultimately. And based on how he felt when he closed his account with company formally known as Twitter, I think he might order his review team to reject the app)
