Excited for the event! Good to see the new animation designed specially for the event
The weather outside is awesome. Should I sit in front of a monitor and watch the event, where Timmy tells that everything is awesome, amazing and incredible and shows me the 16th iPhone in a row? Well, let me think about it ...

No 😅

Somewhat ironic to see some extra Apple love from a company the owner of which still has not enabled CarPlay in the cars made by his other company.

I miss the mature platform and haven’t found a better hyper-news app to replace it, but won’t use that privacy nightmare. Bluesky and Mastodon don’t compare (yet).

Unlike some other people, I’m still using Twitter (X) today. I’m looking forward to using the platform and seeing this animation.

The fact that Apple is one of Twitter/X's biggest advertisers helps. Also, Elon realizes that this sort of thing can generate about as much publicity for Twitter/X as it does Apple and may encourage other companies to use the platform more for special announcements, events, etc.

Some people here bragging "I deleted Twitter / X months ago". Shock. ZOMG. 🙄 I don't care. Twitter / X 2.0 is much better and is far superior than it was before. I'd rather be on X platform to check the latest news and trends than heavily censored Meta and fake news.

By the way, I tested the like button. It's pretty nifty!

The McDonald's Cheeseburger is better to their Hamburger, but they’re both still McDonalds. 😜

The people announcing that they deleted Twitter / left Twitter is amusing. Totally political.

Apple’s involvement legitimizes TwitterX and effectively degrades Apple’s brand.

Apple shouldn’t be involved with TwitterX.

Simple “criticism” to make but not a particularly compelling one.

The choice to leave TwitterX is based for most people on the quality of content they’re presented with there.

There’s nothing shameful about leaving a service that no longer suits your needs.

For better or worse, social media can be an important and effective marketing tool and given that pretty much all mainstream social media platforms have "issues", what do you think Apple should do?

There are many who feel the same way about other social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Threads, TikTok, etc.) that you and others do about Twitter/X. Should Apple stop using social media altogether??

No, TwitterX is clearly and obviously far beyond anything you’d see anywhere else outside of Reddit etc.

Apple legitimizes TwitterX and being on TwitterX degrades Apple’s brand. Apple should stop posting things there.

How are you determining that Twitter/X is "clearly and obviously far beyond anything you’d see anywhere else outside of Reddit etc." and what are you including in the etc.?

The unfortunate reality is that much of the mainstream social media has "trash." If Twitter/X was "clearly and obviously" far worse than the others, Apple, Amazon, HP, IBM, Disney, Warner Bros. and others wouldn't still be spending millions (including many spending more than they did a year ago) in advertising on the platform.

Twitter being agile and dynamic. Makes all the difference in future success. The bloat it carried before Musk needs a book written, and school lessons taught.
So agile and easy to use, even the neo-nazis and casual antisemites can use it! And we can watch Musk promote Russian misinformation and support a murderous autocrat in real time!

Haven’t seen that, maybe you hang out in the wrong circles? It is a public square after all.

By opening it up and looking at it. The rise of racist and white nationalist content is aggressive and blatant.

As to your advertising argument, it fails since advertisers have been fleeing the platform in droves and continue to do so.
