Bigger and LIGHTER

What drew me to the iPhone 5 over the 4G was that it was lighter. Every day I am drawn more and more to the Samsung Galaxy due to its size and WEIGHT. Please apple lighten up!!!!

Apart from the fact that it is not a phone?

Yes. Presumably, making calls is not your main concern, as screen size doesn't make much difference.

My thought would be you could get an iPhone for calls/texts (or any other phone) and have an iPad mini for 7.9" of iOS bliss. :)

Or you know, have a larger screen phone and only carry one device. Not everyone wants a 4" screen. Why oh why is this so hard for people to understand?

It's really not! I AGREE, just the original comment was something like "If Apple don't release an iPhone with a screen bigger than 5", I won't buy it," and I asked, out of curiosity, if screen-size is so important, wouldn't an iPad mini suffice?

The ipad mini is too big to carry around, not to mention that I at least do not want to carry more than one device with me.

Larger screen this year? Afraid not

From Daisuke Wakabayashi’s interview with Tim Cook in The Wall Street Journal:

"What we’ve said is that until the technology is ready, we don’t want to cross that line. That doesn’t say we’ll never do it. We want to give our customers what’s right in all respects – not just the size but in the resolution, in the clarity, in the contrast, in the reliability. There are many different parameters to measure a display and we care about all those, because we know that’s the window to the software."

So, will the next iPhone have a larger screen? Maybe someday.
