You're making the false assumption that Android users are mocking 64 bit CPUs. It's far from the truth
O'rly? Your post below about 64-bit
Hmmmm.... by loyalists standards, it is a gimmick.

Saphire screen, and if we can't have a screen behind the scanner then maybe an led notification in there somewhere or coloured backlight (tv mood lighting)

Something like that would be a good solution. The home button takes up valuable real estate.
i'm curious about the battery life apple will get out of the 5" phone ... My big android hates the battery.
If apple can get it's all day usage in a 5" i'll be all over it. The only reason i don't have an iphone now is the small screen size. I like the bigger screens
IMO the Home Button will be gone this year, precisely because Apple is constrained on screen size while the Home Button persists.
Integrating TouchID into the entire display, and making part of the display a virtual Home Button is the logical way forward.
Deleting the Home Button should also reduce warrantee repairs. Granted, the iPhone 5/C/S buttons seem much tougher than the iPhone 4/S buttons, but moving parts generally wear faster than electronics.
To all you "one-hand-usage-blah-blah-threepointfive-blah-blah" monkeys out there, take a look at this now:
See the hand on the left? See the length of the thumb? See that the Apple one-hand-use-only-with-miniature-screens-propaganda is a load of stinkin' bull...?

More wothless rumors. And there not even from a reliable source.
Worthless
Question: When did Apple say this? Two New iPhones With Screens Larger Than 4.5" and 5" Coming This Year
Question: When did Apple say this?
Answer: Never.
Apple have not talked about this or even hinted at it. This is just MacRumors staff tech wet dreams in an article. Misleading as MacRumors have zero way to know this outside a NDA.
"people familiar with the situation said"
That is not Apple, just hearsay.
Two New iPhones With Screens Larger Than 4.5" and 5" rumoured to be Coming This Year
That is the article title fixed to be not misleading like it currently is.
oh come on, you dont think that 5c belongs in a garbage can?like i said in some earlier thread - The future of iphone 5c is in garbage can.
and i was right.[/QUOTE
You are a touch irritating. Were you shooting for that?
... and that the iPhone 5c has seen weaker-than-expected demand. Instead, it appears the iPhone 5s has seen significant demand that analysts had expected to see go to the more inexpensive iPhone 5c.
I think the iPhone 5C's place in history will be next to the fat iPod Nano and the iPod with the buttons on the top of the click wheel.
Depends on your handsize. Obviously jumping right from 3.5 inches to 5 would be a shock, but maybe now Apple has gotten people used to 4 inches it'll go down better with the people who are on the fence about bigger iPhones.
