No.
Sad is Apple doing things that are useless.
Sad is Apple accepting the limitations of Qi standard instead of doing wireless charging from the ground up.

When Apple went all in on Qi 2 years ago...it did so with the expectation (both internally, and toward customers) that they would not settle for the crap experience that passes for Qi...they would bring their own innovation to the space.
After 2+ years they've acknowledge that they failed to do so.

I blame Apple for making a bad bet 2 years ago that they would be able to work within the Qi standard to accomplish their goals. It should have been obvious at the time that the current state of Qi was exceptionally lame, and that they would be better off taking a full on Apple approach and starting from scratch with wireless charging. But, they gambled and lost instead.
Apple's wireless charging implementation is laughably slow. That's the truly saddest part.

Tables have turned. Samsung is now ahead. At least it feels like it. But that’s what’s the marketing is about.

Ming-Chi Kuo is guessing about something that was not leaked. Is he starting a rumor? Sure. But the only time his predictions ever come to fruition, is when the inevitable eventually happens. He predicted 32GB RAM in MBP for years before it finally, eventually, happened.
I am sure there is someone out there who tracks these things, but Ming-Chi Kuo has a fairly solid track record from what I can recall.

This feature is not going to be your primary method of charging accessories. It is for travel and a back-up solution for when your accessories are unexpectedly low on charge. On the one hand, this means it is not a vitally important feature. But the tech is simple, inexpensive, and takes up a trivial amount of space inside the phone. So why not include it and have that little extra peace of mind.

It seems you never had an Envy 17...is not, the back is plastic, the hinge is weak, it has some issues, the heat is felt not on the top like on the MBP but even around "ASD.." row keys, so its clear you have 17" just for light-medium use, it has sensors issues and light affects the windows hello, speakers and audio drivers are weak, the lid has flex to it when its open and even when its closed, very hard flex, the display is 1 class under mbp and so on...so please...after spending and returning and exchange 3 HP envy 17, i went with surfacebook 2 and after that with mbp 2018
But again, the price says it all

How long ago was this? Their mid-2018 and 2019 models have been moved to their premium family of laptops, so this shouldn't even be an issue. I don't get what you're saying about price when these laptops start at $1,000, just $200 shy of MacBook Pro's starting price.

Will it work for any of their pencils?
Pencil 1 charges via Lightning so it’ll definitely charge with any current or future iPhone until/unless Apple goes fully wireless.

re: Pencil 2, it charges only through inductive charging (it has no ports), with precise placement likely required due to the very small coil. It charges rather quickly when snapped into place with the magnets integrated into the 2018 iPad Pro models. But Pencil 2 isn’t Qi compatible so you can’t use a reverse-charging capable (future) iPhone or any other Qi-compatible charger for that matter.

HP has already answered this question before, in a sleek-looking body.

Its mostly glass chassis can be modified to act as a wireless charging plate.

Apple just needs to be innovative with designs. They're too afraid to change anything. The MacBook's design hasn't evolved in over a decade. It's the same rounded rectangular block we've been carrying two presidents ago, just slimmer.

Even the HP Envy 17 is more attractive and refreshing than the new MacBook Pros.

There's no need to built in Qi in a Macbook, as I said before, where do you put the iPhone, it's always in the way.

I am pretty positive almost all people think the MacBooks have the best design there is, the others are just copies, or wannabes.

Apple's version of "Need a Penny, Leave a Penny". Kind of reminds me of syphoning gas with hose. I wonder if it just a matter of placing two phone together or just prior consent need to be given?

No it isn't. Wireless charging is for the nightstand. If you think it is supposed to be both safe and fast, your prioritizes are out of whack.
LoL, no it isn't?
You can be in denial as much as you want, I'm fine with the facts I've posted.
