I was a little disappointed when I first saw this offer, but considering there's a very high possibility we'll get the new macbooks as part of this offer, I can't wait :) - Will be using the rebate towards an iPod Touch though.

Ordered mine over the phone today from the Further Education store..didn't even need to prove I was a student. Rang up, he just asked what uni I was going to and then took me through it all.
Food for thought for anyone who isn't technically eligible..;)

While £95 wasn't totally unexpected I'm a little disappointed given that the US got a touch (an old touch is still better than a new nano IMO).

Hopefully the new MB/Ps won't be too long - I think I'd rather wait for them than get a nano.

Does anyone know if you can defo get 12 months 0% finance and/or how it works?

Apple had an offer on when I bought my Macbook a couple of years ago where they offered 0% interest free credit for a period of 6 months (or possibly 12 - I can't remember which exactly). I went through with this offer and it was arranged by Apple through MBNA. I don't think they offer this any more, although do offer customer finance which can be found here.

I decided I needed my macbook before uni so I got mine yesterday. i had to get the 8GB nano though because they hadn't any 16GB in stock.

Probably better to do it over the phone if you are still at home to make sure you get everything you need.

I also got the free printer. I am happy.

macbooks are pretty...:)

does anyone know how i can extract the music from my ipod to my new mac? Also can i reformat my ipod for mac?

Thanks for the reply and link... doubt I'd be able to qualify for finance as I'm moving down to London to do an MSc and have no part-time job lined up (so no income)! Ah well... hopefully the new MBs will be all I need!

One other thing I was thinking about - how come we get a much shorter timeframe for the offer? Surely it's not Apple's way of indicating new Macs will be out end of Oct/beg of Nov, because they don't like to even hint about release dates and/or new products.

I ordered a new iMac through the UK back to school deal and also got the ipod nano for £14.

I am now in the process of applying for the rebate but I have lost the EAN numbers for both packages.

Is my chance for a rebate gone?

How can you lose the EAN numbers - they are stuck to the boxes ?

If you have lost the boxes and/or the barcode labels then you have lost the £95 rebate - sorry.

The terms and conditions are very clear that you need proof of purchase....

Where's the EAN label on the iPod Touch? Mine came in a see-through plastic case, with no stickers on it or anything. Theres no label inside or anywhere.

----

Nevermind, it was on the bottom of the inside casing, wasn't expecting it to be as small as that.

I hope this offer remains for until when they reveal the new Macbooks on Tuesday. I'm hoping Steve doesn't say "we'll be shipping these out in the next few weeks"... or else im fooked.

Not quite fooked - the PURCHASE must be made before or on 31 October - I don't think they are too far away and even if it was 2 weeks then no doubt you would be able to pre-order as soon as the AppleStore website goes live after the announcement.

If they are not available for 2 weeks - how many current MacBooks are Apple going to sell in that time...
