Guys most stores should have the TB in stores on display (not behind the glass) on wednesday. So there's a high chance that they will also have stock

I have also heard that Wednesday will be the day for walk in MacBook Pro touchbar sales. Good luck everybody!

I'll be checking the website at 8am every morning. Probably pop into my local store, Bluewater, on Tuesday and Wednesday just in case they have them but not online to reserve.

Can I ask where you've heard this? It makes sense, if deliveries start on Wednesday too, but I haven't seen anyone confirm it.

Also, how does it work on the website. If they have them in stock, does it just say collect today, rather than the 4-5 week wait? I was assuming they wouldn't be advertising their stock on the website.

Being indecisive now means that my order is scheduled from 30th Dec - 4th Jan

Would be great to find one in-store before then.

What did you go for, stock or BTO?

The 15" Pro touch is in a display case at the very front of the regent street store as you walk in, you cannot touch them. The 13 Pro was in a display case (non-touch) but you can now play with them. This was as of last Saturday (19th). Pretty sure, the same for Covent Garden as I went to check there as well.

I asked the Apple guys when they would have them, they said no idea. Stock comes in and they will only know then. Two weeks ago when I was there, Stratford Westfield had NO laptops at all - all taken out of the store. Regent and Covent Garden had the old models on display, no idea if you could buy or not.

Just ordered online a 15" Pro, 2.9ghz, 1tb, 460 GPU - ETA is 30th Dec.

It sounds like the first UK deliveries will be made tomorrow, so fingers crossed tomorrow or Wednesday there might be a few machines up for grabs in store...

Called the Apple Store and asked to speak to the manager. That's what the manager said..

Why 8am? I thought stores open at 10?

Does anyone know if UK stores stock other specs apart from bas models?

I was after a 15" with 2.9 / 1TB / Radeon 460, and know that some people on the forums have picked them up in-store (although I suspect they were all from the US).

People from the U.S claimed that Apple does. But only a limited number and they call them "the ultimate model".
But you cannot find them online, you just have to walk into store and ask there.
But I'm not 100% sure if it's true

Now that these are arriving with pre-order customers in volume - might one assume that a few pallets were also made available for UK stores, with arrival to the distribution centre yesterday?.....and might we therefore see them appearing in stores from today/tomorrow?

Hopefully yes!

Fellas, hate to burst your bubble but Apple told me yesterday that they didn't expect anything in store until mid December - when the bulk of UK pre-orders come in. They may have been spouting nonsense but there it is...

Two weeks ago I was told by store staff that they would have stock in a couple of weeks. They really only know as much as we do.

I think there may be some units available on Wednesday because the devices are now being delivered to customers so there are units in the country. I'm sure there will be deliveries going to Apple Stores as well as customers. Same as happened in the US - when preorders were delivered, their Apple stores started getting stock too.
