Not sure what politics have to do with hating Bono.

Everyone on the planet hates him.

Well people assume that if you're a liberal you're supposed to like Bono and U2. I shouldn't have used iHate but it worked with my post best. I just think it's time to move past the past and onto the future. U2 was a good choice when iPod was released. Now it's time for something different. No more DEAD rock DAD rock...

What's with U2

Ahh, maybe it's some kind of connection U and 2 phones, or maybe U, an iWatch and an iPhone. I think two products being announced, phone and wearables .

Folks don't like Bono. He's irrelevant. Means nothing anymore. Too old for "Our Kind".

He's going to ruin Apple.

Well kids .

"Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. But the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do"

Apple is completing a tax inversion and will merge with Bono's company to move overseas!:p

You're missing out! Of course, I'm a child of the 1980s.

Yep, U2 is great. I don't get all the criticism. Maybe we are surrounded by people who did not even exist on the 80's :D

Shhhh... I trying to sweep

(If you're under 40, I doubt you'll understand that photo :p)

Don't like U2? Don't comment and whine about it - there's just no need. What's gonna happen IS gonna happen, and complaining won't alter it.

Simple. :)

Imagine if everyone took your advice - these forums would be a ghost town.

Born in 81. I think 1-2 U2 songs are "good" and the rest is over-rated ridiculousness. I love everything from Phil Collins to Slayer. I never understood the U2 hype when they were relevant, and sure as heck don't now that they are beyond obscure in today's pop culture. Let's just hope U2's "significant part" isn't that significant, and doesn't involve them playing their out-of-touch idea of what modern music should sound like. Apple should ditch U2 and pass the savings onto me: an iPhone with 2GB RAM and 32GB in the base model.

I couldn't name a U2 song I'd my life depended on it.

I guess you can say that you still haven't found what you're looking for. Hopefully tomorrow is a beautiful day regardless. I wonder what Apple will release tomorrow. They move in mysterious ways. It's alright, though. With or without you, they will still sell lots of iPhones.

Isawwhatyoudidthere.

Hehe

Once again, the MacRumors groupthink is strong with this one. I cannot fathom how anyone at our beloved Cupertino company could align themselves with an overrated rock band. They're not relevant anymore, as other have said. I bet their last tour tanked. Just go away, losers. Sigh. What is the matter with Apple lately? First the protruding camera lens, then the ugly antenna bands, and now this.

But back on topic, what could Apple possibly gain from partnering with what lots of people mistakenly refer to as one of the most important rock bands in history? Apple would be better off pairing with some obscure indy band. A ragtag group of post-modernist musicians misfits who are more edgy than the "Edge." Sigh. Time for me to buy a Xioami or Samsung.

tanked. The largest tour ever. Dollars and attendees.

Well, I was a teenager on the late 80's. So I do enjoy a lot that time and music.
I love U2 and while their last album wasn't that popular it was a solid one.I look forward for the new one.

Significant part in tomorrow's event?

Apple's team has spent significant part of their efforts in making the best product line in 25 years and in one day U2 is gonna steal away all that?
