Windows list, preview, I dont care. Im not getting anything right now. ㅠㅠ

That's very weird! My suggestions are to 1) Make sure Accessibility is enabled and 2) Restart the machine. Hopefully that will get it going.

Side note - love seeing uBar on retina...

The restart worked, but minimizing windows by clicking on the dock icon doesnt work. I dont think thats your problem to solve Meister.

Of course its the retina display, only limp wristed suckas buy a MBA

Today's update makes it easy to tell which favourite you are hovering over, especially if you have added several with similar or identical icons.

Release Notes for Version 2.1.9
  • Feature: Favorites now show tooltip style labels when hovered over (Suggested by Chi-Ming Chow)

I got an 11" MBA last week actually:) My Mac Pro is for serious work, the MBA is just so I have the option to do real work on something easy to carry around - didn't want to replicate my Mac Pro on a 15" rMBP. The iPad feels redundant to me since you can't do desktop class work and I always have my iPhone with me. Mac Pro + MBA11 + iPhone is the ideal setup for me without any replication of function. Now if my main computer was my laptop, of course the 15 rMBP would be the logical choice.

OMG I CLICK THE TIME AND THE CALENDAR APP OPENS! DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY GODDAMN TIMES I'VE CLICKED THE CLOCK AND I DIDNT GET THE CALENDAR? Ideally it would come up just like windows, but I guess the full calendar app opening up is good enough.

Your wish for a hover calendar is hereby granted:

Release Notes for Version 2.2.0
  • Feature: Calendar appears when hovering over clock area (Suggested by Thomas McMahon)
  • Tweak: More windows now use document icons

----------

Release Notes for Version 2.2.1
  • Feature: Favorite icons darken while clicked (Suggested by Lee Mellinger)
  • Feature: Provide Feedback window available from uBar menu
  • Feature: Initial localization into Spanish and Italian

It feels done
I laughed so hard.

:D 2.2.2 includes a calendar hot-fix (days aligned properly now) and a pinning feature that at present only allows to create a gap on the sides of uBar, but will eventually allow uBar to sit centred (both sides unpinned) with no empty space like the Dock. Will make it do that at some point, just takes time.

Release Notes for Version 2.2.2
  • Feature: Pinning preferences for left and right (Suggested by Peter von Diebitsch)
  • Fix: Calendar days aligned to proper weekday (Reported by Hugo Hamilton)

This update involves some minor tooltip goodness and fixes an annoying bug where taking screenshots would "stick" uBar into Activity Mode.

Release Notes for Version 2.2.3
  • Feature: App icons now show tooltip when title is not displayed
  • Fix: Activity Mode now triggered when only Ctrl-key is held (Reported by Lee Mellinger)
  • Fix: Favorite tooltips now center over highlighted icon

----------

This update has a new feature allowing you to list folders first in the Applications menu from the uBar menu. This should help you if you organize your applications using folders.

Release Notes for Version 2.2.4
  • Feature: Preference to show folders first in uBar menu (Suggested by Andre Lauzon)
  • Feature: A warning is now shown for known minor application conflicts
  • Fix: Badge updates more responsive (Reported by Thomas McMahon)

On the fence a bit with this but must admit I do like it so far.

I use the app 'BetterSnapTool" & uBar gives me a popup warning that there will be problems with apps snapping underneath the bar, however so far this isn't happening with any app I try it with. They all position correctly above uBar. So the warning is probably not required.

Some people have reported issues, but it may depend on how those window management tools are configured. If uBar is competing to resize a window, it even depends on which app the system decides has priority. Could be based on something like launch order too.

By the way have you tried holding the Ctrl key? It toggles Activity Mode:)

Release Notes for Version 2.2.6
  • Fix: Minor Application Conflict warning no longer shows if suppressed (Reported by Henri Spagnolo)
  • Fix: Unresponsive application no longer stay in certain cases (Reported by J. J. Larrea)
  • Fix: Certain invisible files no longer shown in Applications menu (Reported by Andre Lauzon)

Thank you for your great product. As a power user/recent switcher I was hardly missing the taskbar from pc. So uBar fills this gap thankfully.
Ps. Mission Control and small shiny dots on the dock never compare a real taskbar. From now on I can invite all others to Os X.

My pleasure - glad you're enjoying uBar!

Awesome, thanks! It's at version 2.2.6 and so there's been 26 updates since version 2.0.0 on July 1st, so you that tells you how hard I'm working on making this App as perfect as possible:) Most new features are actually user suggestions, so please feel free send any feedback you have my way, and you may end up in the Release Notes!

A little announcement: I'll be sponsoring John Gruber's The Talk Show this week, so uBar will be mentioned!

Thanks sounds good. I actually found an interesting situation. So everytime I reboot, I have logitech software fire up for my mouse. It's set to load during boot. When I'm done booting, ubar shows the app tab, while the dock doesn't since I have the logitech icon on my menu bar.
It goes away if I quit the app though. Also I was wondering, the trash icon on ubar, does it usually show the paper in the icon when there is garbage? On the dock I see the paper when there is trash but I don't see it on ubar. Wasn't sure if was supposed to show or not.

Other than that, working great. :D

Both excluding apps from the bar and the Trash graphically reflecting it's contents are top on the to-do list actually - you can expect them rather soon!

One question I have that I didn't see posted or on the app website was handoff. Does uBar handle handoff notifications?

Not as of yet - I suspect the hand-off tab will just popup from where the Dock is hidden on the side, so it might not be necessary, but I will be working on a uBar native implementation in order to make everything seamless!

Thanks for the response. I'm liking it so far, but another issue I'm running into is with Moom. I saw the pop up the first time I ran uBar. What's the issue with Moom?

Window managing apps like Moom can potentially conflict with uBar's ability to keep windows from going under it since both use Accessibility to control windows. But if Moom isn't configured in a way that would stop uBar from resizing windows that went under it, it should be fine. It's a minor potential issue.
