Still waiting for my SS, but I don't think it's being anal to expect a $600 watch to not have a rattled up button. If I could hear or feel it moving around, I'd be irate.

Check your iPhone. All the buttons (mute, volume up and down, sleep/wake) on mine wiggle very slightly. This is normal.

Yet we hear from anal-retentive iPhone owners starting threads on this.

Just go to an APple store and try the demo units, you'll find they all have a little bit of play in them.

Not sure if I could keep a straight face if I worked in an Apple Store.

"My button is loose!"
"That's not good, can I see?"
"Here, it moves, look!"
"Hmm, I guess it does a bit, does it still work?"
"Yeah, but it moves a bit"
"Does it make a rattle noise?"
"No, but look, it moves a little bit when I press it on the end"
"So it works?"
"Yes"
"And it doesn't make a noise?"
"That's right, it but moves a bit when i press it."

Yep, that's why anal retentiveness is the real culprit here.

If that's all this is then you are 100% correct. I don't have my iPhone on me at the moment (shudder) but I don't recall ever having an issue with buttons that bothered me.

Right, it's not like you'll detect the wiggle while using the buttons in a normal manner. It takes a deliberate anal-retentive action of inducing the wiggle with your fingertip.

Buy a Pebble or Samsung Galaxy Gear. Then you'll know what buttons normally feel like when not on an Apple Product. Or various kindle page turning buttons. Or many expensive cars even.

Mine is a little loose, if you press it in it rocks from side to side. If you press it in the centre it feels a little cheap. Reminds me of the 5/5s lock buttons being slightly loose. It bothers me a fair bit but not sure if going into an apple store if they would replace it or not. Don't want any hassle and worry Id get a reconditioned watch too!

They replaced mine. I was also having a problem launching Apple Pay because of it.

I don't have a problem launching Apple pay, picks up the double click every time. If it started misbehaving then I would be in the store straightaway.

I'm going in about my silicone case and headphones anyway so I'll ask about this issue as well while I'm there.
