Hope not.

I'm hoping they'll stock the Core i7 15" MBP in high-res antiglare!

I really don't want to order online.

My thoughts exactly. It's much more of an experience to pick it up at the store and hug it 'til you get home :) That, and also the fact that no way am I ordering a high-res without seeing it first. Mmm, wonder how the **** I'll be able to see it.

They should have them on display at some point. I think all the stores are just getting stock at the moment and most employees have no idea what stock they are getting.

At the weekend, most stores should have all their stock and have their display models sorted out.. I hope.

Has anyone picked up their new MBP from the Kingston Upon Thames Store in Surrey? Have been trying to ring them all day but they keep hanging up on me!!

Thanks!

I have decided thus

I shall be picking the standard top spec one up this evening!

The hi-res option isn't as big a dealbreaker as i suspect

1) Logistically it's not needed for FCP (i was quite happy with 1152 x768 on my G4/667)

2) If i did have it i wouldn't be able to get the edu discount hence pushing prices up a lot more

3) If I do choose to use it for gaming, do I really want an extra 200 pixels square to bog down the 350m even more?

Got my 15" delivered an hour ago (ordered via the online store). Absolute beast.

Ordered at 3:30pm yesterday, arrived at 2:30pm today.

Regarding no.2, are you sure you can't use educational discount when ordering via phone/online?

Pretty sure they will twig whats going on when they notice that the card holders address, the delivery address and the persons name do not in any way shape or form match up.

Plus as others have said I want to HUG my MBP on the way home!

NOOOOOOOOOOO!!

I have screen defects. A few stuck pixels here and there and a weird one which is like mushy....

Eugh. Another drive back to Leicester I think!

That is it.. I couldn't cope any longer :p

Just been to the Apple Store and got a 17" i7 with AntiGlare.

Now setting it up :D

I'm gonna print that out and take it with me when I go back to take my MBP back for a swap.

Right. Which fudge bought out the rest of the 13 MBPs at Leicester?:p

I can't exchange mine for a new one :(

Weekend it is. At least I get to play around with this one for a couple of days! :D

And I have my i7 15" I love it!!!!

I see they are still flogging the c2d's though :p

This screen is amazing!

LOL, my nearest Apple store is literally opposite my dorm, so I'll be hugging it for all of the 30 seconds it takes to get home :)

Went to the Cambridge store tonight. They are in stock and hopefully on display tomorrow. I was told they will have the hi-res models on display too.

Nah bog standard screen..but everything is really crisp and a lot better than i was expecting!

I'm typing this now on my new 2.4GHz 13" MacBook Pro. Coming from an original May 2006 2GHz white MacBook, it's surprisingly fast and much more responsive than I expected from such a seemingly tiny speed bump. I also got the machine for just £850, AppleCare on top for £50, thanks to the very nice guy in the Regent Street store this afternoon. Yay for student discount :)

Ooh that's great news then. I was told when I called Westfield and Regents Street that they have no idea about the High-Res option, so I assumed they wouldn't have it.

Hopefully those 2 stores will follow suit, and get them on display and in stock.

So does this mean you're going back tomorrow? If so, PLEASE let me know how the high-res version looks. Your opinion will probably be my deciding factor if I never end up getting to see it in real-life.

When are you going back?
When you do go, do let us know if you were successful in getting the printer with that coupon in the link. Also, could you let us know too if you were able to get the £70 printer, as i'd assume they'll only let you buy one that's worth more so they make a bit of money from it.

Cheers bud.

None in local Apple store till the weekend apparently, so I just ordered mine online.

£878 base model 13". Very happy and can't wait!

same here. I got the AppleCare as well. At £46 it is a crime not getting one :)
