My nearest Apple store is just chaos. The interior hasn't changed since about 2009 and as you say with your experience, you can't even hear yourself think. It's quite a big store, yet it still feels quite cramped and overcrowded. Just not a nice place to be. I only go in if I have to for a Genius appointment which luckily for me have been few and far between. Granted it's within a shopping centre so it isn't a 'flagship' location but the rate at which Apple seems to be refurbishing older stores is a snail's pace. No way would I bother going to a Today at Apple event.I went to the Apple Store to pick up a phone case the other day and I was surprised just how LOUD it was in there. Everyone talking, and there was a Procreate tutorial being run and the instructor had to shout, and it was just all really unpleasant. The promotional photos of Apple Stores and the ads make it seem like a really calm place, like a normal supermarket and big box store. But it's not like that at all. I almost wanted to try the transparency mode on my new AirPods to quiet it down.
Yeah… what about religious holidays like Yom Kippur?I wonder why retail workers increasingly want to unionize.
No, I meant, iPhone season being September/October. No one should be surprised that Apple would really want to block vacation time during its most busy period anyway. So you’re saying that retail employees who bust their butts all year don’t deserve a little bit of time off for the holidays? At all? Seriously?
Stores should be well staffed enough that people can take time off for the holidays. Obviously everyone can't get exactly the same days off, but there should be a schedule in place so people can ask for certain days. No, I meant, iPhone season being September/October. No one should be surprised that Apple would really want to block vacation time during its most busy period anyway.
Eh? And this relates to the story how?

See articles like this are keeping me from trading in my bought-and-paid-for 12 Pro Max for a 14. If I do, then I wont be anywhere near paying off the 14 in order to get a 15! I’m seriously thinking about skipping the 14. I went to the store tokay and played with the 14. My itch for it has kinda been scratched now LOL.
Yeah best thing might be to trade in now if you can get a good deal and then trade the 14 in. I may upgrade my 14 pro if there's a good deal. But your 12 will be worth even less. It's a gamble...
Good point! But your 12 will be worth even less. It's a gamble...
Yea but I will have to pay hundreds of dollars to make the 14 become upgradable when the 15 comes along.Yeah best thing might be to trade in now if you can get a good deal and then trade the 14 in. I may upgrade my 14 pro if there's a good deal.
Not being able to take time off during the entire holiday season of December/Early January is kinda messed up.
Or misdirection to competition on the timeframe for the headset release. It's probably the release of the AR/VR headset.
Wasn't sidewalk "pavement"?BTW in the UK fall is called Autumn, aluminum is called aluminium, sidewalk - footpath, elevator - lift, zucchini - courgette and don’t even get me started on ‘rubbers’….
