UK Apple Watch Series 8/Ultra Pre-Orders and Dispatch Thread

Just had my notification from Argos that my Ultra will be delivered tomorrow - ordered yesterday! This one has a green band.
This was a belt and braces purchase, as I am also waiting on shipping/delivery notification from Amazon for a watch (with orange band) I ordered on the 11th.
I’m not overly fussed over band colour, but if they both arrive tomorrow chances are I’ll keep the one with the orange band.

Amazon can completely do one with Apple orders in the future
I heard there was issues with iPhone 14’s, there is now issues with delivery with Ultra watches…and now they have complete and utterly balls’d up the AirPods 2 Pro orders saying they don’t have any stock, and no idea of delivery dates.

I know - I ordered with a large orange strap - Maybe that's something to do with it. I wasn't expecting them to come through.
Amazon have truly screwed people over this year, yet they’ve taken orders!
No iPhone 14’s delivered on release date
No Ultras delivered on released date
No AirPods Pro 2 delivered on release date
They've really screwed everyone over this year, previously if you ordered in a reasonable time frame you were guaranteed day of release delivery, whether that was apple products, games consoles etc. A lot of folk will be disappointed.

I placed the order in good time and have always had products on launch day, apple or otherwise. But this will be the first time I feel some degree of being let down.

Yup that's what sealed it for me, I can get around the shocking battery life but you cannot get around bad or inaccurate sensors.
got an e-mail from very that it has dispatched but still saying 26.09 delivery...dunno if means still monday or what.
Will try Apple in store pick up tomorrow or John Lewis for delivery/collection Saturday (presumably).

Another surprise - I placed orders this morning with Apple for a large Orange Alpine and Midnight Ocean strap for delivery early / mid October.
I've just been charged for both and they are arriving by 26th Sep.
Think I might bung £10 on the lottery later.
