I placed my macbook order on the 16th August so doesn't look like I'll get it. Planning on getting an iMac anyway soon.

Did they actually say within 14 days?

he didnt exactly say it, but what I said to him was: "Apple usually has a 14 day policy where if you purchase a product and the price gets suddenly reduced you are eligable for a refund of the difference if you claim within the 14 day period (this happened when i bought my mac mini) So I Presume it's the same kind of deal for upgrading customers who may have bought a machine a few days before a promotion like this starts? Yes, No?"
and the apple rep was awesome, he just agreed and sorted it all out for me..
bonza :D :apple:

can anyone confirm that they have been allowed to purchase the ipod touch using this offer in the UK. I got off the phone to an apple rep who said it was only old stock ipod nanos and regular ipods.

Well emotion it not so much not living off baked beans but a grandfather who is giving me £1050 for exceeding expectations and doing well :)

Wowza. Did he exceed your expectations? Doing well at what?

Are you a hitman?

£85 + Vat?

Just wondering if the rebate we get is just an £85 cheque, in which case we would still be paying the VAT even on the 4GB iPod nano.

Has anyone from the UK who has got a rebate before had this sort of issue?

The rebate is £85 off any qualifying iPod.

so yes, you'd still pay the VAT on the 4GB.
