It would appear from other threads, Apple is giving preferential treatment to its own direct customers first. Many approved retailers especially overseas seem to be lagging.

Yeah, it looks like that! Enjoy yours! :)

Ordered my base 27" iMac on 10th January...

Currently expected 3-4 weeks... 7th-14th February

I ordered using the Barclays Finance 0% interest over 10 months scheme.

Well I'm confused....

On Expeditors it says out for delivery today (16th) but I still can't find it on UPS. Not sure which number to use but none work anyhow.

I'm not sure to believe Expeditors or not. As apple still says Expected 21st and on Expeditors it says Requested Delivery date: 18th.

Anyone any ideas?

Congratulations! How long did you give it to get to room temperature before booting?

(I am hoping you dispel this urban myth macman. I have seen you do similar things on other such myths)

I didn't deliberately wait, but it was about an hour before I booted it up...It was stone cold, but I've opened them up and booted right away before without issue.

It's condensation you ahve to worry about, and the way Apple pack these there really isn't much chnace of that getting in.

Really impressed with the 3TB Fusion drive...It's fast..:D

Is it def coming via UPS? Because in my case, none of the reference numbers work on expeditors and the UPS system seems to have stalled since Friday but continues to claim delivery today! I'll believe it when I see it

Tracking numbers

On my 'track shipment' button I've got two numbers

The first works with Expeditors.

The second starts WW - I'm guessing this is using sprecifically for the Apple tracking page, as that's what it links to.

My question... 3 days into shipping - when does a specific tracking reference appear for the company that is actually moving the iMac - is that after it reaches LHR?

And does anyone know whatever happened to patience? She was around here until this whole 'new iMac' thing started...

Well spoke to apple and they said it hasn't yet been assigned to a UK Courier. And the dispatching on expo was to a courier not me. Now I can't track on Expo anymore. Waiting game again, lol

Koeln, Germany I'd imagine. Where it will stay for 2-5 days until it's delivered to you out of the blue. UPS tracking is not very accurate towards the end of the journey.

Once it gets in to Heathrow (if that is your route) they need to clear customs then off to the Apple warehouse in Leicestershire. From there they allocate to a UK courier - the tracking number updates via the apple website (track my order). Typically UPS

Well it has landed and cleared customs. And it's been delivered to a location. Perhaps it's Leciestershire.

What you say is true for anything that comes directly from outside the EU, but not necessarily the case if said cargo already cleared customs elsewhere in Europe...[clatches at straws for an afternoon delivery]

ok this doesn't make any sense...

just rang apple, they said standard models will ship faster, unsurprisingly. mine is a standard model... they couldn't tell me any more.

My order has been passed on to the "priority team" for review. whatever that means!

You are very lucky to be seeing action so quickly after ordering on 2nd January, a mere 14 days ago. Your status will go to shipped in the next 12 hours and you will have your machine by the middle of next week. Some people on here ordered between 30 Nov -14 Dec and still not receiving their machines. Keep calm and don't get angry and 'entitled'.
