27-inch iMac
3.4GHz i7
32GB DDR3
768GB Flash Storage
GTX 680MX

Ordered: 11th December 2012
Preparing: 10th January 2013
Shipped: 10th January 2013
Delivered: 16th January 2013

Arrived without flaw, extremely early this morning. No dead pixels or other related screen issues. The lamination does make this display beautiful and the internal speakers are very impressive, though these are being delivered on Friday. This is the 100% maxed out build-to-order option and it screams; violently.

It has been a pleasure sharing the obsessiveness with everyone in both topics. :apple:

Dahhhh. Package was due for delivery today, now UPS telling me

"Our system shows that an investigation is in progress for this package, which began on today January 16th. 2013. This investigation can take up to eight business days, and is updated on a daily basis. The shipper will be notified of the results as soon as the investigation is finalized"

When asked what does that mean, was told

"The last day to complete the delivery is today, however the shipper initiate a tracer on this package. I would recommend you to get in contact with the shipper to get more details."

When I pressed to understand why Apple initiated a tracer, I was told:

"Initiating a tracer means that the shipper report the package as lost and our investigation department will investigate to find the package to complete the delivery correctly"

Will you all forgive me if I scream REALLY loudly

Same here, was scheduled for delivery today but tracking stated it was still in Cologne with no tracking status update since Import Scan on 14th. Phoned UPS to enquire and they said as no change to tracking for over 24 hours I would need to call Apple to start an investigation. About one hour later the tracking status has changed to a Departure Scan, so it looks like they have found it. The scheduled delivery date is still today though and the tracking page says that it is "On Time"!!!

@CarloUk also, long story short. After initiating a tracer at 11.15am on my request our computers have now been found and been put on next plane to East Midlands airport. Delivery now scheduled tomorrow...

Not before Apple ordered me a replacement (at their initiative; not my request) . Scheduled delivery 22 Feb

can I ask what your expected delivery date was and the spec you ordered?

happy for you :)

Thanks, the only expected delivery date was 'January' and the spec is
• 2.9GHz Quad-core Intel Core i5, Turbo Boost up to 3.6GHz
• 8GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x4GB
• 3TB Fusion Drive
• NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M 512MB GDDR5
• Apple Magic Mouse + Magic Trackpad
According to Expeditors, it left Shanghai and arrived at LHR on 15th and was released from UK customs lunch time today. I've still to receive info re delivery service, so it's at least 48 hours away. According to status, it's on schedule, in transit to customer, still quoting 22nd January.

Hey guys, how do you know which flight number your Mac is on? I have an UPS tracking number.

Not on UPS you cant get flight details but if your UPS tracking contains:

Castle Donnington, United Kingdom 01/16/2013 6:14 P.M.Arrival Scan

Koeln, Germany 01/16/2013 5:51 P.M.Departure Scan

Then your package also went missing and has been found and is now in UK at long last. Prob get your computer tomorrow. Or Friday (snow storm permitting)

Mine now is also at Castle Donnington with an updated delivery date of tomorrow. At least they have sent them by air once they found them, amazing what a quick phone call can do.

I'm not in the UK, I'm in Spain, my delivery date is by 22nd but thanks anyway

It may have been a quick phone call by Apple but my dealings with UPS to get to the bottom of it were anything but. Kept being fobbed off since yesterday afternoon. Their tracking system is awful, their agents really had no more information than was available to me...terrible. But all well that ends well...

UPS are dreadfull. Mine due tomorrow, their tracking data states that its still in Cologne.

Unless you start seeing action early tomorrow morning (arriving in country, clearing customs, getting to their nearest hub where you live, out for delivery; in that order) get on the phone to Apple and demand they initiate a trace. It's what things moving with mine, was stuck in Cologne for days and UPS kept telling me even this morning it'd be delivered today no fail. Had to cancel a work trip to London to stay in to wait for my machine. Now have to do it all again tomorrow

Anyone in the Midlands or North of England on UPS delivery tomorrow should be seeing this action on their UPS tracking. Otherwise get cracking first thing guys, Apple needs to do a trace for you with UPS:

Tamworth, United Kingdom 01/16/2013 10:09 P.M. Arrival Scan

Castle Donnington, United Kingdom 01/16/2013 9:40 P.M. Departure Scan
