UK & EU 27 inch Delivery Thread

Got mine today. All OK
Will be busy now setting it all up and moving my pc across to it.
I will put some pics up one finished and all layout out.

Good luck the rest of you.

Oh one thing which I notice is that the stand is huge forcing the iMac to be away from the wall some 8" so the slim form factor does nothing for it as its twice the distance away from the wall that my pc monitor was :(

Its got some nice wallpapers on it
Sound seems fine although I have a Kef 5.1 hifi cinema setup to put on it.

Well, they're in Germany now and have been for a few hours so hopefully we will find out soon! When I ordered my 13" MacBook early 2007 it took a similar route but can't remember how it went after Germany. Seen people mention heathrow though, so maybe a plane to there once the iMacs have been split up into terminating country piles?

Hopefully it's done swiftly though however it goes on the next leg!
 
Yes!!! mine has gone to preparing for shipment this morning, thats was a lovely surprise apple!! Ordered on the 4th Jan , im from the UK!:):):)
 
Well mine arrived yesterday (17th Jan). I was too busy setting up and tidying up desk etc to make a post, sorry. :rolleyes:

Well hope everyone else's iMac comes to them soon as they are amazing!!

Hi guys so I guess mine will be dispatched later today, how long is it normally for delivery?, from the posts I thought it was around 3-5 days. Can the flights from china happen on a weekend aswell? As of course its the weekend tomorrow, Thanks
 
Well, lucky you, I cancelled my 27" BTO order, placed at a reseller on 30th of November, they couldn't even give an ESTIMATED delivery date, then I pulled the trigger and cancelled after 6 weeks of waiting. Today, when I'm back from job, I'll sit down have a cop if coffee, and place a new BTO at apple online store, and wait for another 3-4 weeks to get the by then ALLMOST outdated iMac ;)

My mac got to London yesterday at 17.02 pm when and how do I track it now all I have is the flight ref number. Dose it get updated on the apple tracking account with a carrier number ? My est delivery date is for Wednesday for me down in Devon

I got my invoice a while back so not sure that means anything.

Just checked the expeditors site and:

18-Jan-2013 08:48:00 GMT Out for Delivery 444690

Hope it makes it through the snow!

If not, i can wait... been waiting long enough :)
 
Preparing order from 27th December!

Overnight my status went to preparing - exactly three weeks to the day since I placed the order. Getting really excited. I had a feeling yesterday that things were about to change (based on the December spreadsheet) so cleared the desk ready. All set and assuming about a week till it actually arrives. I can imagine someone lifted it off the conveyer belt in China last night and it's waiting to come home! :D

Call yr local Apple Stores - they may have a BTO machine in stock... mine did last weekend...
 
This is probably my last post on this thread. Stick with it guys because it's well worth it. The screen is amazing. See you elsewhere folks, it's been good hanging out waiting on here together. And it's been a long wait

There got to be a logical reason as to why people its taking so long 38 days for a computer!

That's very EXCITING! Good for you! You still might get it today.

Mine is still stuck in Germany and Apple said that I won't be getting it today. Shame - I was looking forward to play with it over the weekend.

I'm a bit confused... the Track Order button links me to a delivery status from Apple that has been displaying a delivery date of 22 Jan since the first message appeared. Expeditors show the iMac as 'out for delivery' today but they have a 'Requested delivery date' of the 19th. I appear to have no way of getting to any tracking info relating to a specific courier as I've no idea who is delivery (impressive that Expeditors seem to know!) and I've had no texts warning of an impending delivery.

And it's snowing.

What's happening with the world?

Oh, and Crucial... what happened to that RAM delivery you said would be here before 9am?! The post has already been and gone!

Sometimes I think there's just too much information in the world...

although it feels a little archaic now that im using this iMac

will get a macbook air eventually, but thats enough spending for 2013. :p

i really hope this and similar mean I will see my order status change within the next 4-5 days. I ordered my BTO on the 9th.

It does look like they are really speeding up.

Yes, I was looking forward to get it today too, but it is stuck in Barcelona and I think it is not going to move from there until Monday. Anyway, it's very exciting and I'm happy because I've been charged the price today, things are going well, I was a bit worry about it, they shipped my iMac without paying it!
