I'm a bit confused... the Track Order button links me to a delivery status from Apple that has been displaying a delivery date of 22 Jan since the first message appeared. Expeditors show the iMac as 'out for delivery' today but they have a 'Requested delivery date' of the 19th. I appear to have no way of getting to any tracking info relating to a specific courier as I've no idea who is delivery (impressive that Expeditors seem to know!) and I've had no texts warning of an impending delivery.

I'm in the same boat. Not sure where it's "out for delivery" to? I'm thinking it might mean it's being delivered to a distribution centre somewhere, and will then be sent onward from there via UPS or such like? At that point we'll get the apple texts and it will also be near the expected date

Best to be pessimistic! But hopefully you're wrong and UPS or someone is about to ring your bell! :)

Its just arrived - box is a bit battered, but the iMac inside looks perfect!

Freezing here, so I'm leaving her a few hours to warm up.

Ordered 4th Jan - received 18th.
Basic 27" spec with 1TB fusion.

Placed the order on the 16th of January. Only change i made to the standard 27" was the addition of 1 TB Fusion Drive, and the estimated delivery to Norway is 14-25th February.
Anybody know how long it takes for orders placed in january before they go to production?

Sounds par for the course to me...

As others have mentioned above, it seems like production has picked up speed...

Still waiting patiently

I ordered mine on 1st Jan but Barclays didn't process the finance until the 8th as they had to cancel my first order after i changed my mind on spec, i finally went for;

3.4GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7
8GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM-2X4GB
3TB Fusion Drive
NVIDIAGeFrc GTX 675MX 1G GDDR5
MAGIC TRACKPAD-Z
Apple WL Kybd+User's Guide-B
COUNTRY KIT-B

Current status is;

Processing Items Dispatched: 3 - 4 weeks Delivers 05 Feb, 2013 - 12 Feb, 2013

My late 2008 MBP is starting to chug now, so really can't wait to get my hands on the iMac :)

So what does 'delivered to consignee' mean? That supposed to have happened just before midday today...

Its just an estimation date, you will receive it more or less in the 2 weeks time line.
I had a few of them delivered to me, i got one of them when they lunched within the 2 weeks time frame and another within 4 days, so you never know what can happan.

Good luck!

I ordered a 1Tb Fusion.....I keep wondering if I really should have ordered the 3Tb Fusion but as it's been done via Apple Finance/Barclays, I'm hesitant to cancel and change spec....

Question to all.....is it really going to be an issue? 1Tb is pretty massive anyway and I've still not maxed them out on my PC. I've also got a Time Capsule coming and running a server at home with 3Tb in it so I dont believe it'll cause me too many issues.

Question to iainc......was it over complicated to re-arrange the finance at the different spec? any issues along the way?

We're obviously in the same truck! Where are you in the UK - that might give us a clue - I'm in Devon...

And who is BOBRYK ??

Now the plot thickens with this latest entry in the Expeditors log...

18-Jan-2013 16:00:00 GMT Proof of Delivery Rcvd LONDON, ENGLAND (LHR) LONDON, ENGLAND (LHR) Proof Of Delivery

Ha! So it's spent the last two days going from London Heathrow to London Heathrow? If I had any hair I'd be pulling it out right now... instead I'm off to watch Django at the flix!

I have a synology NAS with 2x2TB hard drives. The NAS acts as both time machine, DLNA server and iTunes server. That way I can have movies, music and tv shows on the NAS, thus freeing up disk space on my computer.

My iMAc is sitting in a UPS truck in Newtownabbey NI

It is due to be delivered on Monday, but i am working about 30min away from the depot. I rang UPS to see if i could pick it up. They wouldnt let me :( the truck is not unpacked. I have to wait, maybe tomorrow, maybe Monday

The wait is nearly over

Gavzooka; it wasn't difficult, just horrendously drawn out. I initially ordered a standard £1699 model with a 3TB HDD and that went through fine, but then I changed my mind and upped it to an i7 with 3TB FD. I had to generate a new order and the finance then went to review as i'd already got an order with them. I had to cancel the original order through Apple, then wait a few days for Barclays to recognise the cancellation before they'd process my revised finance application. It took a week overall and several phone calls to both parties. All sorted now though and i'm looking forward to get my iMac.

1TB should be big enough to be honest, bear in mind it's also got a 128GB SSD in there. I only went for the 3TB to future proof it for a bit. I've swapped out my MacBook Pro HDD a few times due to running out of space and i'm up to a 640GB and that's only got 30GB spare.

My iTunes library is 210GB though...

Brilliant - yesterday given estimated delivery date of 22nd Jan, later changed to today, well done UPS you managed to deliver it in the snow.

Now the fun begins.:D:D

Ordered my iMac on the 9th, 27" i7 3.4ghz, 1TB Fusion Drive, 8GB RAM and the 680MX. Estimated delivery is 6th-13th Feb. Can't wait.

Just rang my local Apple store to see if they have my BTO spec in stock, they didn't and do not stock iMacs with Fusion Drives. Shame.

My status is still Processing. I used a cc for it but seemingly no monies have been taken yet, should I be worried?

after being stopped one day in Herne-Boernig-Germany and traveling all day has finally arrived at 6.00 PM in my city! UPS does not deliver on the weekend, will deliver Monday! beyond belief, 4 days travel!
pregnancy would be less stressful! :D

Mines still sat in Germany going by UPS. scheduled for Monday anyway. Just noticed that my iMac is now on my support profile :) getting closer!
