My Feb. 28 order just went to "Preparing for Shipment" this morning! Since this is Hungary (and we just had a national holiday and big snowstorm), I'm wondering how long it will take from here....

cancel and order from apple.

For those of you still waiting for long time, I should say that according to some threads and also my personal experience, "things are moving". It seems that finally ;)Apple has started delivering goods to retailers. So, be patient for some more days, your machine will come soon.

IT has arrived! :D

Ordered Feb 20th:

Configuration:
27-inch iMac
3.4GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7
8GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM-2X4GB
1TB Fusion Drive
NVIDIAGeFrc GTX 680MX 2G GDDR5
APPLE MAGIC TRACKPAD

Arrived Mar 18th 9am.

Over the weekend it went from Ireland to Germany to Barking to Crawley. Left Crawley at 8 and as I'm only 45 drive away I was worried I'd be last today. When the driver arrived I mentioned this and he said I would have been lunchtime but he had a delivery not far from me which HAD to be there at 9 so I was lucky! I laughed with him...not sure I'd be laughing if that hadn't happened though. :)

We're pretty much at the same stage. I ordered a couple of days earlier than you, however, but it was also dispatched yesterday. I didn't realise you could pay for express delivery - was that on the checkout stage? As of 0200 this morning my iMac left Dublin. :)

Yes, it was at checkout stage, not sure it's made any difference whatsoever.

It Shipped

Ordered a BTO 27" iMac on 8 March. Dispatched on 16 March 16.

Estimated Delivery date is 21 March.

Apple UK store shows 24hrs for all standard configurations and 5-7 business days for all BTO. I'd say they've caught up on the EU orders. The VESA mount iMacs are still on 7-10 business days.

Great! I'm glad you received it. Mine left Dublin on Saturday night and at midnight last night it got to Tamworth, UK. There's been no updates since then. Come on!!! :)

Ordered a BTO 27" iMac on 8 March.
Dispatched on 16 March.
19 March it showed up on UPS tracking. First entry says it is in Cork, Ireland.
Estimated Delivery date is now 22 March. That is two weeks after we ordered.:)

Lucky Bastards, Still waiting on my 30Nov order!!!!

Apple's Mail last Thursday to APRs:

There is a commitment received from Cork CTO iMac that all open orders placed before the end of January (November & December) should enter production before the end of this week Wk11 Q2.

A large portion of these backorders is expected to be distributed end next week.

Note that the exact composition (type or configuration) depends on which orders go first into production and also at what location they are assembled.

Therefore it is not unlikely that many orders made in January are delivered before orders made in November / December.

I'm soooo glad we ordered direct from Apple and not through an approved reseller.

Do you know if Apple builds some of the iMacs in Cork? Or is Cork a logistics centre?

Eitherway the UPS tracking started in Cork.

Our left Dublin early this morning. It may have been on the ferry between Dublin and Holyhead.

Apple are assembling iMacs in Cork, there is a production facility of some nature there. I had the same experience with tracking, mine left Dublin in the early hours of this morning, after leaving Cork yesterday evening. UPS are saying delivery tomorrow (I hope that's the case as well as I have taken the day off work) :/

Wait, you are all the way down in Plymouth and you are getting yours tomorrow? We live on Anglesey. On a clear day I can just about see Dublin and ours isn't due until Monday. (was Friday but UPS just bumped to Monday)

Oh... i also ordered the iMac through the EPP-store on the 14th and have exactly the same estimated delivery date as you. I haven't gotten a planned delivery date yet though :( Although it changed today from shipping in 1-2 weeks to 3-5 days.

Then it will prob ship within the next few days :) Mine got shipped from Cork.

UPS sent ours to Northern Ireland.

:(

I feel for you man, however its not unusual for UPS to muck up :(

I've had a couple of bad experiences with their service, however they were very good today.

I hope that yours does come when it says its going to come, and you will really appreciate the machine when it does arrive - it's beautiful! I don't think I've ever had a computer which is so fast and pleasant to use (other than my MBA) :p
