UK & EU 27 inch Delivery Thread

This is why I thought I couldn't get any tracking info:

"Once merged, your Order Status will be updated with carrier and tracking information (at latest 48 business hours before your estimated delivery date)."

Yes still the same delivery time 27-28 December however I'm guessing it will be earlier than that and will possibly change when it ships.

not only are we on the same planes, but we have the same times to the minute! i guess our imacs are next to each other or something...
i'm keeping my fingers crossed we're on this flight 🙂

was looking at flights earlier and couldn't see any realistic flights to Germany that could have ours on, but i don't know 🙁

I even registered an account on UPS trying to get more info too. But no there isn't anything. The 'My Choice' account is only for Americans. :/
 
For those who have had the good news of going from *Preparing to Ship* to *Shipped*

How long did it take approx for that status change?

Took nearly 4 days to go from 'Processing' to 'Preparing' 😱

Got a further 16GB of Crucial memory to put in.. plus a nice new Lacie 3TB USB 3.0 disk..

Yes it is, but personally, I think its great that people can get such pleasure and excitement out of something as simple as a new computer.

We are all just overgrown children and the world would be a duller place if we weren't 😉
 
TNT says my iMac arrived in "Arnhem Hub" which s apparently in the netherlands. I think it will stay there for the night and continue it's adventure to Germany tomorrow.

But the status shows "Shipment In Transit".

That means it is moving from one location to another.

I followed the transitions and made my own assumption:

13 Dec 2012 16:13:52 Arnhem Hub Shipment In Transit. (Leaving this Hub？？？？？)
13 Dec 2012 01:13:05 Pudong International Airport Shipment In Transit. (Leaving from China)
12 Dec 2012 19:49:12 Pudong International Airport Shipment Received At Transit Point.
12 Dec 2012 19:27:00 Shanghai Shipment In Transit. (Leaving from the manufactory area with scanning by the entrance guard)
12 Dec 2012 19:16:57 Shanghai Shipment In Transit. (Leaving from the house)

If my assumption is correct, there is a big chance that we will have our new iMac delivered tomorrow if we live in the main city.

Getting this thing tomorrow would be so awesome.

When checking the delivery status on apples website it says "On transport to customer - delivery on schedule" (In german: "Auf dem Transport zum Kunden - Lieferung im Zeitplan")
I guess I'll check back late this evening to see if the status has updated again.

Not at all 😀 My iMac should be on the same plane as well 😎

Quite appropriate actually, as my main reason for getting this top of the range BTO iMac 27" is to fly X-Plane 10 simulator. X-Plane have just released the 64bit version on Beta so should really be able to make use of the 32GB or Ram I have sitting here on my desk. The GTX680MX will be amazing compared to my existing ATI Radeon HD 4670 256 MB. However, just to load an Airport such as JFK they recommend a 1GB Video card. Hoping the i7 can cope with lots of tweaking to the X-Plane settings to make it even more realistic. X-Plane is probably one of the few bits of software that you won't manage to up all the settings, even a maxed out 27" iMac.

Anyway while I have been typing this my iMac has travelled another 100 miles and should touch done in under an hour.

I'll leave tracking my iMac for now and go back to tracking Mary Lee, Cyndi, Philip, Helen Suzman and Success using another internet tracking program 😉
