Thats really shocking !!!!! I hope mine isnt the same - did you track your order from Shanghai ? Mine seems to have gone wrong once it hit the UK

Nope. I called up Apple a couple of days ago and I was told that they only allocate a tracking number once it hits the UK. I asked why they were shipping AppleCare so long before an iMac and was told that I'd need to take that up with apple when the iMac arrives.

Hope Apple enjoy their free loan.

I think they are telling everybody different stories as they don't know where they are. I tracked using Expeditors two packages under the reference Apple gave through Cstoms clearance which then became two tracking numbers at UPS but one says iMac no received. There are either stuck in a corner of a warehouse or part of the black economy

Worst part is no way of getting my monies back at the moment

Anyone got any e mail addresses for Corporate in the States?

For the second day in a row UPS listed my iMac as "Out for Delivery" and never dropped by.

I even called their number and the lady who replied has no idea what the problem is and can't tell me more than the website. This never happened to me, why are they not using TNT for gods sake…

I'm interested in how long order are taking to deliver once they move into preparing to ship ? A week, two weeks ?

I ask because mine has been processing for 22 days so far, and I'm wondering how long I have left once it moves to the next step.

I'm also hoping it won't come by train...as my understanding is that we no longer have any operational in Devon. Ballast gone, track gone, signal boxes gone, and landslides here there and everywhere.

I'm on the dec. 28 list, but my delivery date is still dec. 27. I don't care, let the time fly to tomorrow!!!

UPS have now said they are awaiting apple to tell them the iMac is ready for them to collect ! I give up with it - the whole thing is a shambles

Surprised but mine is now showing on UPS as being in their hands and being delivered tomorrow

Check your tracking and see if yours has changed

So I received my UPS package from Apple today. It was, *drum roll* a small packet containing an Applecare booklet.

I called up UPS and was told that they had no record of ever receiving an iMac from Apple, so I should check with them if it had shipped.

I called up Apple, and was told, no it hadn't shipped and wouldn't do so until some point in January.

This despite ordering on Nov 30th, and them taking full payment on Dec 20th (when it allegedly shipped). I was also told that I couldn't cancel the order until I receive the iMac and they couldn't give me anything more specific than:

'January. Probably.'

REALLY unimpressed.

Are you UK based b0redom? Just wondered because that is exactly what has been said/done to me. Although they implied they would try to get it out to me tomorrow.

I am thinking they just said that to appease me, because they wouldn't commit to anything. They said things like "I'll chase it up for you" and "hopefully we will get it to UPS today, for shipment tomorrow".

My UPS tracking still says they haven't received it.

----------

Mine is still the same - 1 says delivered the other says order processed :(

Dito :( I feel your pain.

I'm prepared to give them the 24 hours and if I get pushed from pillar to post between apple and UPS after that i'll have a real go for all the good it will do :(
