Soo....
I have an iPhone 4 which is out of contract with Orange. If it looks as though it will be cheaper to buy direct from Apple I will do that an go onto Pay as you Go, again with Orange. How do I keep my number? If I remember I need to give 4 weeks notice?
When I did this a few years ago I had to give a months notice to cancel the contract so I planned to use 2 phones for that period. As it turned out Orange took 6 weeks (not kidding) to send me out he 1 month rolling contact SIM so I ditched them for 3 when I got tired of waiting.

Thanks. Might stick with Orange for 4G. But if it looks as though my area won't get it for a while I will think again. How do I keep my number. Used to know but forgotten.

Anyone got an idea of how long cross provider number transfers take? I'm currently on pay as you go with O2 but potentially would want to be with EE for LTE...
