‘didn’t think there is an IUP option in the app unless you’re renewing - new users can only do in store?

I wasn’t sure if there was an iup option in the app. I tried going through with an XR and an 8 and it doesn’t give you the option.

What can I do to be as ready as possible for booking an iUP upgrade appointment? Do we have screenshots of the checkout flow? I’ve just realised it’s going to be totally different to what I am used to in the app or on the site.
Usually I would make sure my payment details and address were completely accurate, favourite the phone I want, and make sure to checkout fast with Apple Pay. What’s the difference when booking an appointment? Is it quicker? I *think* when I did it with the X (credit declined so ended up buying outright) all you had to do was select the model and the location and it would just show up a list of times, like a genius appointment?
Thanks in advance and good luck for tomorrow guys... I’m going to look like an idiot sat at my desk in the middle of the day with three devices open.

I am extremely torn about which one to choose. Bigger screen is off course better but iPhones are unfortunately noticeably heavier than android phones. I felt on the Xs oddly today. I could live with the 5.8 as it doesn’t feel that much smaller than my 6 inch pixel 2 xl screen. However it’s hard to ignore the Max if it’s only marginally more expensive.
That's precisely it. Work are on Vodafone who don't/can't do eSIM, so simply stick the physical SIM into my XS Max and have EE on the eSIM. Works great as I don't need to carry two phones around, but this situation has highlighted how poor Apple's implementation of eSIM in that I can't simply export it to a new device without the network's intervention. The dual physical SIM route they went down for China, Hong Kong and Macau is the only method they should have adopted.
EE have said they'll credit my account to cover at least a month's Apple Watch line rental for the inconvenience, but that's only £5, so will try and blag 2-3 months for the hardship of essentially losing connectivity on two devices.

You should be able to reserve for iup on the app. When u pick up you can ask to use IP
They’re now only doing iup for the newest phones.
The chap in the apple store I spoke to yesterday said they could still do it in store
There will be a way to for new iup customers to reserve, can’t quite remember the link location. Will probably be on the iup page or an option when you go via the standard route.

Me too! its been Midnight Green all week until i watched the video posted few pages back and the silver/white looks so fresh! Aargh... can we reserve 2 phones for iup pick up?
So what are people’s thoughts, do we expect any devices to sell out very quickly, persoanlly I dont think they will sell out as quick as they have in the past (not upgrading myself so one less competition!)
Was along the lines of choosing your model, check availability for iup and then reserve. Will ask you to sign in with your Apple ID. Won’t need payment card etc
Decided as nice as the green is, most of us will probably have a case on it anyway so really it’s a choice of the band colour around the phone you’d prefer, and the colour of the camera square showing with the case on.
So for me the silver band and the white camera goes perfect with the black leather case, but that’s just me!
The green looks like the favourite colour this year something new to look at personally me sticking to the classic Space Grey colour.
Had the silver X and the gold Xs. Going dark this time.. just not sure if green or grey

Going for an iPhone 11 pro in the new shade of green. Would love the max but the size is so impractical...
Can anyone confirm if ordering via the app is still the best way? I remember that you favourited the model and spec and then it was in your bag automatically - I think they’ve changed the layout slightly since last time...

For as long as I remember I always used the app and ordered 8.01/8.02. Using websites stresses me out too much especially after this year’s fiasco with ticketmaster and Slipknot tour tickets.
My theory is to try bag a green and if I don’t like it I’m hoping there’ll be more chance of space grey stock being around to change to
