That’s correct when you don’t have visual voicemail you have to ring the voicemail number the old fashioned way. I don’t even think it tells you that you have a new message unless you dial the number either because all of that is part of visual voicemail.

With Vodafone I see the number of voicemails displayed in the red circle on the phone app, however, you're right you don't get visual voicemail capability you have to dial to get the messages in the 'old fashioned' way ;-)

On a slight side note here guys. I know there have been lots of reports of iPhone battery draining fast with iOS 14, and its affecting me :( but does anyone know if this is because of the new NHS covid 19 app and if its not, how does one fix the drain? Hoping my iphone 12 pro won't drain as fast as my current is :/

Yes, I believe so. This is like their yearly x’mas delivery and they know the drill very well.

Just did some reading on company:

La Poste has invested substantially in DPD's infrastructure. DPD's additional new £100m Superhub in Hinckley is operational, and the 33-acre site, which is the largest of its kind in Europe, can sort up to 72,000 parcels per hour.

Have you got something, maybe another phone to compare the 12 mini case to?

Alongside the MagSafe, iPhone 8 and iPhone 11

Also with the 2020 iPad Pro 11”

Funny you should say that, mine today has been draining like mad - I put out down to the fact that I turned off Wifi this morning to test something (a speed test on EE) and forgot to put it back on.

I’m seeing pretty bad drain on my XS, which I can only attribute to iOS 14 or the Covid app. For the first time ever with an iPhone, I’m struggling to make it through a whole day, and I wouldn’t say I was a particularly heavy user.

I’ve never had a voicemail since moving to an iPhone in January this year!
No idea how this visual voicemail thing works, I’ve been on O2 the whole time so I know they have it enabled.

I usually have to listen to them several times to understand what the person has said at the speed of light, visual voicemail is good for that with the ability to choose where to play the message from. I think I would be lost without it, everyone needs to realise they don’t need to speak really fast when leaving a message.
When I was with O2 on the original iPhone, no one left me voicemail messages :(

Thanks for that! It’s a nice size, really like that case as well!
I’m waiting on the mini MagSafe cases to go on sale, and fingers crossed they’ll do leather ones, so this is a temporary one. Also have an Otterbox on order but will send it back as its not MagSafe (although they do a range of MS cases)

Might just not install the covid app on the new iphone if it drains the battery that much 😂

For those uncertain about Dual SIM and being pestered at all hours by their employers, you can switch the work line off when you don't need it and then simply re-enable it come work time.

The app itself shouldn't drain battery, you can always turn contact tracing off from the app though [to preserve battery life]
Hmmm this is true actually, and also being at home most of the time don't know why I have it on anyway right now 😂
