I ordered with Argos and it still just says sit tight, processing for Friday delivery.

Have you spoken to the Argos online chat and booked in your delivery? I think I remember people mentioning earlier in the week they had to do this...

Also a warning for people not to share DPD text messages showing tracking.

Some poor sod did and some absolute tool on this site used the link to keep changing his delivery day.

I had it on my account from my previous contract and just asked if I could keep it. They wouldn’t apply my 20% student discount and my £10 loyalty discount together though

You need to contact Argos to arrange a delivery, it doesn’t tell you that you need to do that, but unless you already have then you need to arrange one.

I tried the live chat with them to see if I could get a tracking number and they said there isn’t one but they should be available after 6pm today.

For those who had orders cancelled - rather than ordering from Apple for delivery in November, you could try John Lewis when they open orders (or pre-orders.. although sounds like they’re not doing them this year?)

Apple and John Lewis are the only two that haven’t let people down when it comes to launch day deliveries, as far as I can remember.

ao, currys, Argos, very and I’m sure a few others are all a massive gamble and I’ve seen people let down by them for the past 2-3 years at least.

Did you manage to get an Amazon order for Friday? I thought all their stock was Saturday at the earliest.
So if you get a dispatch email today then we're in business!

Haven't managed to get a DPD notification or a tracking number from Apple. I hope it comes through DPD so i can track it. Even though i won't be opening it i'd prefer to know I've received it as the office receptions closed due to COVID

Good to see all these dispatch notices... I'm down for a 1pm pickup tomorrow so won't be receiving one but... given my luck on delivery times it's probably just as well!

I was waiting on an integrated dishwasher to be delivered the other day.... 1pm - 5pm delivery (that's right, a 4 HOUR delivery Sl u T ) with firm instructions it must be installed straightway... 4 days of what seemed like constant dish washing by hand had taken it's toll on happy house!

What time did it turn up... 5pm? hell no... 5.45pm didn't get the flaming thing in until 7:30... prime beer drinking time lost right there!

iPhone delivery... I recon I'd get it by 10pm... at the earliest!

Apple - Same phone as you, confirmation received at 1:03 and had the DPD notification this morning.

Amazon - just shows as Saturday delivery.
