Are you on the iUP? Trying to make sense of the payments quoted in the screen shot

I’m not sure about that if you are going down the actual upgrade route (vs just selling it yourself and settling with Barclays). This is from the iUP terms (bit about AC+ in bold):

  1. Conditions for Upgrade Option. You become eligible to exercise your Upgrade Option to purchase a new eligible iPhone, if all of the following conditions are satisfied:
    • Payments. You have paid at least eleven (11) monthly instalment payments;
    • Instalment Loan. Your account with Bank is in good standing under the terms of your Instalment Loan; and
    • AppleCare+. You have kept your Financed AppleCare+ policy in force throughout the term of your Instalment Loan.

yes you are right. if you're actually going to do the official IUP thing and hadn't the phone in, you can't cancel AppleCare. when I cancelled mine this week they made it very clear that by doing so I am withdrawing from the programme..

they send you an email with some t&c's which you reply to.. contents being

Thanks for contacting us. Since you want to cancel AppleCare+ coverage for a plan purchased through finance, I’d like to confirm the following:

Accidental damage coverage will be removed, and future repairs for accidental damage will be chargeable.
The refund amount will be credited against your loan, and funds will be sent directly to the financed institution.
Monthly payments will not change, but the overall balance and loan term will be reduced.
You will receive confirmation from the financial institution via email.
If you are part of the iPhone Upgrade Program, you will no longer be eligible to upgrade your device.
Please note that once completed, it will not be possible to reinstate your AppleCare+ plan and/or your iPhone upgrade eligibility under any circumstances.
If you wish to proceed with cancellation of AppleCare+, please reply to this email, and I will finalise the cancellation of your AppleCare+ plan.

I look forward to hearing back from you.

Very surprising news that O2 rolls out 5G to 100 more towns and cities just in time for the iPhone...

Astonishingly my town is on the list, and I thought it would take until 2021 or even 2022!!!

Looks fairly patchy where I am (North East) around the towns where it’s enabled. May have to wander along the road to one of the 5G coverage areas to give it a try this weekend!

I think this year has been pretty crap for everyone so a shiny new phone is a small little something to look forward to. My shiny new blue iPhone 12 is now with DPD and will be delivered tomorrow which is a nice surprise. Just need Amazon to get stock of my Spigen screen protectors now!! I am taking a huge risk for a few days I think.

....wow! So from the 17th November (or whenever it was) your phone is now arriving tomorrow?!

Nice One!

Side Note - why does my iPad ALWAYS capitalise the word ‘NOVEMBER‘ ?? It’s SO FEKKING annoying.....🤬

I’m in the North East as well.
Apparently the signal ends at the other end of the street in the town I live in.
Tynemouth looks like it will have good coverage, except for King Eddie’s Bay (Riley’s).
Whitley Bay doesn’t actually have 5g in the town centre but further away in the residential areas, and Newcastle doesn’t have 5g on Northumberland Street. 🤪

Quayside and the Ouseburn looks alright though - will be good when we can go out to restaurants/pubs properly again...
