So so excited! Had an initial delivery estimate of 28th due to having completed order at 13:05 on preorder day, which moved to 26th, however just had a message from DPD I'm receiving my iPhone 12 Pro today, absolutely over the moon!!!

Ah the 50p debate had me chuckling... Had to keep my hands away from my keyboard for that one...buys a £1000 phone but gets mad over 50p:rolleyes:😂

Well it wasn't the fact it 50p was it? It was the fact I couldn't get into my account (and haven't been able to for 6 months through no fault of my own) to even have the option of choosing it 🙄 So why should I have to pay the £1.50 for them to post one out to me when they're denying me the cheaper option? So why not try and get it out of them for nothing. Money in my pocket is better than theirs.

Exactly the same timeline as me: my DHL man (or woman) is now 6 stops away when I had resolved myself not to have the phone until Wednesday.

Nice combo. Had a look at the normal 12 blue yesterday in person, boy that looks cheap, like a crap Chinese copy. Glad I got the pro.
Thanks for that 😂 not that it bothers me but I’ve got the 12 in blue being delivered this morning. Don’t really need the pro as coming from an 11 pro max. To be fair people were saying that the product red Aw6 also looked cheap but in my opinion it looks great as it really stands out!

In my experience of Amazon, and I've been a Prime member for a long time, they honour all orders even if an initial delay due to no stock. They've never cancelled on any order I've made with them unless I wanted it cancelled.

Personally, I would a actually call up directly and talk to a CS representative to find out the current situation and try and get a firm date when you can expect to receive your order. They're red hot on keeping customers happy, Prime or not.

Apple would not definitely not honour those mis-prices for anyone but, likewise, they wouldn't mis-price like Amazon did on pre-order day.

Also, only a small handful of other businesses would actually do what Amazon have done to not only honour the mis-prices for everyone but not either demand full payment or cancel orders from customers. We are not talking a few quid, these are £1K phones. It's great it's actually happened for the Amazon pre-order crew.

They would rather keep those customers happy, take an initial small financial hit on pre-orders but gain existing customer & media kudos, especially with Black Friday coming.

Amazon will sort you out, I'm sure of it.
oh i agree amazon are far better than other companies i've been using the site since 2005 i had a pre order for the xbox one project scorpio back whenever that was laucnhed with them they let me down for one reason or another a CS actually contacted me to confirm i would get it what day by what courier it was dpd and compensated me with free vouchers.

Those days are gone though the site has detoriated is much more automated and sadly cs is little more than a call centre now where i know more about the website and ordering process than they do. They are very generous when it comes to giving out free vouchers when they do mistakes but i'd rather have the products than free vouchers.

I'm just going to leave it for the time being see if any updates happen i'm not confident but perhaps im being too pessimistic.

I’d be pretty upset if amazon did that considering the amount of phones they have honoured. I’d get on to live chat maybe and make it clear you are willing to wait at that price so you have proof, they surely can’t use the excuse they can’t get hold of more stock which is usually there go to excuse for cancelling.
They will likely honour it. I bought a bbq Kamado joe jr from them for £330. Should have been £460. It was out of stock for 4 months. Not only did they fulfil the order but also gave me £30 credit for the delay.

I had a text from JL at 9.25 this morning to say that my blue iPhone 12 Pro 128GB was ready for collection at my local branch of Waitrose. I did that very smoothly at around 10 and I've just finished setting it up. All looks well, the colour is fantastic as others have said! Great service and better than Apple where my estimated delivery date was stuck at Nov 9th (I cancelled the order yesterday). Now I've time to get my old iPhone 8 Plus off to Music Magpie before the Post Office closes!

Makes the wait for us Pro Max buyers that bit easier!
