What I meant with my earlier post is that according to rebuy I needed to supply them with proof of purchase and a form of ID before they paid out. After asking on here several other people have mentioned that they weren’t asked to provide anything hence why I found it strange that they had asked me.
I contacted three for proof of purchase but since they are taking forever I asked whether rebuy would be happy to accept a photo of the back of the box to confirm the IMEI number and that I actually own the phone. Thinking about it maybe it’s to do with the fact I left case and screen protector on it when I sent it. Does this make sense now?
Yes I feel very sorry for your predicament, but it is what I have been saying. Hopefully it will all work out in the end but don’t blame a specific company due to other actions that have been taken , I am sure reBuy do not wish to resell stolen phones, so think of the problem the other way round .

I’m not blaming anybody I just said that I find it strange that nobody else got asked for this yet I did. Not the end of the world , it’s sorted now.

I can see why they would want proof but sounds like nobody else needed to on here?

Perhaps everyone else followed the instructions ! 😳
Instructions aren’t hard to follow and I definitely didn’t do anything different to the others on here. Reason for leaving the case was so that the phone was safe in transit. It doesn’t say anything about screen protector. Let’s leave it there. 😁

Perhaps as you were different to every other box they opened , leave it there ! It sorted now hopefully 👍

Changing the topic im still waiting for my phone to arrive (hopefully this weekend) and im ready to upgrade my second line with EE but i am having difficulty deciding which color to go for lol.

p.s im glad i sold my phone privately. My OCD would have killed me if i had to get the phone back citing price disagreement 😱

If I drop my phone again and crack the screen then I will be able to use the AC+.

Your in 14 day return unless you didn’t get from Apple. Just order new and return this.

I have been in the Apple Store purchased a phone left the store and dropped it ending up with a slight scratch. Walked back in and said don’t like the colour and changed for a brand new one in a different colour.

I have done the same and kept same colour they just swapped it out. Minor scratches they aren’t too bothered about.

I do have protector on my Xs though.

Has anyone here upgraded from an Xs Max. Just wondering if it’s a worthwhile upgrade.

Yes, I saw that. So, to get the MagSafe charger to work at full capacity you need to buy the Apple 20w USBC charging plug. It makes it a very expensive way of charging your new iPhone. £58 no less!

This is reason 2 that I’m holding back.

Doesn’t even work with Apples own USBC MacBook Chargers!!!

I really struggle to get anything out of EE. I have been with them for four years on a Sim only contract plus an LTE plan for my watch and Apple Music. I buy my phones and watches outright from Apple. But whenever I talk to them about customer loyalty they say they have nothing to offer

I can change my contract in November with EE. 6 months in to a 12 month contract. I seriously hope they let me move on to a plan that newbies can get.

Been with EE for 7 years, have two lines and broadband but can’t get them to offer me anything better than 100GB for £20, even asked them to send me PAC code to leave but nothing, they didn’t budge 🤯

I didn’t get anything from the courier apart from I took a photo of the packaging he sealed it in and from that I managed to use the tracking number to track it to reBuy. I received email confirmation about 6hrs after it had arrived.
I have just had the inspection report and the screen was deemed scratched (which it was a little) so they revised they’re offer from £407 to £380. I’m happy with that as it was more than anyone else offered. (Phone was XS Max 64gb)

Was that declared in 'Like New' condition? I was looking at them for my XS Max 256 earlier and they are only offering £270 for a 'Good' condition one which I thought mine would be because it's got a couple of very fine scratches on the screen that you can only see under a certain light.
Maybe I should declare it as Like New and then get more for it?

They're really clamping down right now. Try again near Black Friday.

Edit, do you know if it's possible to gift data from an unlimited sim only contract to 5G broadband?

£367 X 256GB

Music magpie have offered £380 for my iPhone XS Max 256gb and then enter code 10extra knocks it up to £400.
I am now in the window to send back once i preorder and receive a 12 pro max

Managed to use the 20% discount code supplied by Jonnyslats for my new EE contract.

Spoke to them on live chat and they've applied a further 10% customer loyalty discount (taking the following contract down to £16):

  • 200GB
  • 5G
  • Unlimited text/minutes
  • BT Sport Ultimate (with casting)

Dear diary... JACKPOT!

That sounds like the current £25 offering which I’m considering. Instead of BT I’ll be going with Apple Music.
Is this a brand new contract rather than upgrade? Anyone know if EE upgrades can get same offers as new lines? All sim only.

Exact one (although managed to initially haggle down to £23).

Was a contact (plus device) upgrade every 2 years but only took a SIM upgrade this time as I bought from Apple direct.

Yeah that’s what I thought, trying near Black Friday. It’s a bit annoying though, after all these years with them 🤷🏻‍♂️
Not sure if you can transfer data between SIM and broadband :-/
