Very pleased that when picking up my new iPhone 12 Pro, I was immediately offered the trade in option and so now just need to pay off the last IUP loan (though was told I could just leave it running and keep paying monthly until paid off). I got my full £500 trade in value on the 11 Pro (no case and in good nick) - so have paid nothing to pick up the new phone and am owed about £430 from Apple.

Now just waiting for O2 eSim to activate

Got my £90 AppleCare refund done now, so have “saved” about £180 compared to previous years. Suspect Apple may get rid of what seems like a loophole for next year; chatting to the guy who served me at the store yesterday and he suggested that many people are doing their upgrade this way. Will take a few days for the refunds to come through, but don‘t need to worry about settling my old agreement until next month.

Still getting used to the new phone and spent half of last night logging into apps - phone was pinging away with various SMS confirmation codes. Only thing that didn’t work as it should was that the iPad didn’t recognise the swirling colour dot code when trying to start the setup.

“Like new” or “Very Good
When I went through that link I am sure only 3 options, like new was not there, however on checking reBuy actual site I was given like new price, very happy as it did have a burn mark /tarnish near bottom speaker which apparently was known to other X users

Guys who used reBuy. After dpd collect did you get tracking number etc. How did you know when reBuy receive your phone?

I found them through this link . Think they are a German company .
In the end they agreed for me just to take a photo of the box with the imei number showing. in the mean time still waiting for that proof of purchase from three. Literally have no faith in them.

Shame, but the reasons you have had problems may be due to 3’s and your purchasing of the phone . Wishing to take a photo of the box and imei number is between you and DPD not reBuy. Also I think you said you placed your phone with case and screen saver in the box! When their instructions ask them be removed, the opener of your package on receipt may have thought odd . So going through some extra checks . Only saying

I didn’t get anything from the courier apart from I took a photo of the packaging he sealed it in and from that I managed to use the tracking number to track it to reBuy. I received email confirmation about 6hrs after it had arrived.
I have just had the inspection report and the screen was deemed scratched (which it was a little) so they revised they’re offer from £407 to £380. I’m happy with that as it was more than anyone else offered. (Phone was XS Max 64gb)

Sorry, what do you mean I’m confused? The reason they wanted proof of purchase is because of the value of the phone being over £500 apparently it’s a standard procedure although people on here have confirmed that they hadn‘t been asked to provide anything. I own the phone outright and it is not locked to a network! so it hasn’t got anything to do with Three anymore that reBuy should be bothered about as they wouldn’t know in the first place.
The only reason for supplying a photo of the box with the imei number to rebuy is so that I don’t have to wait around for three to prove that I own the phone If you know what I mean.

Interesting! Mine is as good as I think a used one could be this late after but I was oohing and ahh-ing over it.

May even keep the phone as I have given all the old ones to relatives... my spare would be an iPhone 3G 😂

Sorry I don’t know what you mean, just that if you give instructions on how a product should be received and it’s not as is . Then perhaps they instituted further checks, just saying ...

What I meant with my earlier post is that according to rebuy I needed to supply them with proof of purchase and a form of ID before they paid out. After asking on here several other people have mentioned that they weren’t asked to provide anything hence why I found it strange that they had asked me.
I contacted three for proof of purchase but since they are taking forever I asked whether rebuy would be happy to accept a photo of the back of the box to confirm the IMEI number and that I actually own the phone. Thinking about it maybe it’s to do with the fact I left case and screen protector on it when I sent it. Does this make sense now?
