If you return it and reverse your upgrade, EE will give you the same discounts on the Pro Max - you just have to ask.

I had to go the executive team to honour the 20% student discount and 10% additional line discount, can’t see them honouring it if I return it.

The support document says it’s denoted as GPRS in the status bar, but I’d imagine it’s shortened to G as that’s quite a long icon.

Yup, I wasn’t correcting the other poster. Just saying that the symbol for it must have changed in the years it’s been since I last saw it myself.

It was just easier to attach to your post than any of the others as it had an older version on it.
The icons and letters change constantly, it’s no wonder people get confused on what they mean 🤣🤣

You will. Speak to channel returns and make it clear that you’re not happy with the current device but do wish to upgrade. Get them to note the account to say the discounts should be transferred upon re-upgrade and the upgrade agent will then apply the same discounts via their manager. I’ve done this recently.
You could even push for £10pm and 20% off if you felt comfortable in doing so.

Doesn’t that defeat the purpose of getting a smaller phone in the first part. That wireless battery pack adds more bulk to the phone. In which case you might as well get a Pro Max. 🤔
Most of the time i wont need the battery pack .. just if I’m out all day (one day we might be allowed lol) I can throw it in my backpack

This isn't really to do with pre order etc but as we’ve had so much chat about EE thought I’d mention it.
I live in the middle of Wales so no 5G here and no likelihood of it for YEARS! .. I have found though that if I have my 5G settings on Auto I get a faster connection than when I have it on 4G which seems weird to me! .. it’s about 30mbps on 4G and at least double that on the 5G auto setting. On my 11Pro Max it was usually about 70mbps on 4G.
Not a complaint at all it just seems weird is all

There have been reports of this. Someone did a comparison can’t remember where that showed the same that with auto turned on it tends to Max out the 4G. Doesn’t really make sense especially if the previous model did that anyway on 4G

iPhone 12 Pro Max 128gb Pacific Blue will be the order of the day next Friday.

Going from an Xs Max 256gb. Hopefully I will notice the difference performance wise.

Might get 5G slightly sooner than you! But probably not. Down a bit and left a bit from you.

That is a very odd observation. Thanks for posting.

I bet next week will be quiet too 😂 there doesn’t seem to be many that want a Max posting on this thread.

Yes I feel like a lot more people here have gone for the smaller models this year. I’m not sure if there will be as much activity here the next few weeks. That said there might be a lot of demand for the Mini. 🤔

There has been more demand for the 12 Pro than Apple expected. May happen with Max as well.

Little light hearted humour here for those still deciding.

Well I’ve decided to return my MagSafe wireless charger at least for now. The cable is way too short and I don’t like the idea of using an extension cable. Also I don’t plan on getting any of the official MagSafe cases and who knows when the third party brands will bring out compatible cases plus I don’t like the look of the magnets showing on the clear cases. I’ll stick with the slower Qi wireless charging as well as wired charging for now.
