Sorry if this has already been asked, looked through the last few pages. Anyone know if the pre-approval is a soft or hard credit check? Already on the IUP programme...
General view appears to be “hard” but don’t know if this has been substantiated in any way.

Is that the choice Apple employees are being given ? ..... I was under the impression Apple hadn’t used the Furlough scheme but could be wrong.
im not sure, i guess Apple would just pay their employees and not use the scheme possibly. i havent read into it but I am assuming they have their employees best interests at heart as their previous actions have definitely been to protect their employees as much as possible. I very much doubt that anyone will be severely put out of pocket is what I want to say.

The nature of my job means I pretty much have to be there when I’m called in, so I thought this might happen.. Already saved the one I want in my favourites and I’ll hope for the best at the right moment! Got my card details and address dialled into the app already so that should make it significantly quicker

Good luck. I hope it goes smoothly for you.

Thanks guys. Hard credit check every year to upgrade seems not great!

Perhaps one to keep in mind if people are looking into mortgages etc.

I still don’t know what to do. Keep my 11 Pro Max, get a 12 Mini or the 12 Pro Max.

Wish the camera reviews were out for the Pro Max!! I’m worried if I don’t jump on it now, then I probably won’t get a phone until Christmas!

Ok, quick question. Just got the approval from Barclays for the 24 month interest free option on a Pro Max. Reading through the (4) emails they sent me, with all the t’s & c’s in, they mention having to sign the agreement! Does that mean you have to print, sign and then send it back to them? Or is it just a copy of all the documents for me to keep and refer back to rather than have to actually act on anything? Sorry, but I do tend to overthink things

You don’t need to sign anything. You would have “ticked” to confirm acceptance of the t&c as part of the approval process on the app.

What's the play these days for preorder day? I am a bit rusty, my last preorder was for the XS Max which I picked up from an Apple store whilst on holiday in Las Vegas. I'll be paying outright, is the app the way to go? Cheers

Fingers crossed, my MagSafe is about to be shipped which was targeting 5th Nov-12th Nov but could be different with phones and that colour seems the be the most popular.

Slightly off-topic but I bought the Kindle Oasis a few months back and its worth every penny, love it.
Totally with you on the Oasis .. it’s expensive but it’s by far the most comfortable kindle they’ve produced .. love the form factor and am reading more because of it!!

Fitted my ESR screen protectors last night. Out of 3 only one was useable. First had a lump in it, second wouldn’t stick in the corners the third went on fine but doesn’t look the best on the edges.

Think I’m going to go back to spigen. Could have just had a duff batch I suppose!

Poops. I’ve just bought some. Only got them because people raved about them on here.

Had issues with my ESR protectors as well, got a refund from Amazon and ordered the Spigen which fit perfectly.

Also an entry on your credit file for each upgrade/Barclays purchase that remains on your file for 6 years from settlement.

That ties with the official Apple comment in the AppleInsider article which says ‘before Thursday’ we will know.

iUP remains my preference but if I can’t do it, I think I will buy outright.

6 years?! Wow. I know for mortgage applications they say don’t have many one after another.
