Sorry if this has already been asked, but is the preapproval for outright purchase/24 month payments only and not for IUP customers?

Will IUP people just need to wait until Friday and hope for the best when it goes live at 1pm?

its iPhone payments only 24 months with Barclays

Regarding IUP looks like there will be an announcement at some point before Friday

Not related to above. Just changed my 12 Pro order from Graphite to Pacific Blue, and from one off payment to finance deal. Happy to accept a few days delay in getting phone.

Thanks guys. Hard credit check every year to upgrade seems not great!

Perhaps one to keep in mind if people are looking into mortgages etc.

I still don’t know what to do. Keep my 11 Pro Max, get a 12 Mini or the 12 Pro Max.

Wish the camera reviews were out for the Pro Max!! I’m worried if I don’t jump on it now, then I probably won’t get a phone until Christmas!
Yeah I'm in the midst of buying a house so going to use Amazon's 6 payment scheme instead. A hard credit check scares me as the buying process isn't finished yet.

Decided to sell my 11 Pro and close iUP, will go for the 24 month Barclays loan, I can always close it next year when they release the 13.

When I call Barclays to close the iUP, how do I ask to get a refund for the Apple Care? Do I need to contact Apple? 🤔

If you change networks, yes.
If you stay with the same one you only get checked when you join.
Unless you get a really good deal not many stick with the same contract.

But was just using it as a analogy with the barclays finance for the phone. It's not as drastic as it sounds.

Fair enough.
I’m not one for chopping and changing with networks myself.
Stayed with 3 for years, even worked with them for months when signal went down in my area, but had to leave when the youngest got rushed to hospital from school and nobody could get hold of me for over 2 hours due to the signal issues. It used to be great around here and just randomly took a nosedive one day, they gave me new phones, had me out onsite with their engineers at the masts doing testing. Eventually when that happened though, they just said no problem, that’s unacceptable here’s your PAC code. Still had over 9 months left on contract too.
I’m now with O2 and had nothing but stellar customer service and connection to the network.

Yes contact Apple they will refund AppleCare to Barclays who apply it to the loan

Would be handy.

I left my 12 Pro at a self-service till in Waitrose this morning. Only realised when I got back to my car. Rushed back in to find that a member of staff had retrieved it. Phew!
This is what makes the watch so useful. I never take my iPhone from my pocket whilst shopping any longer. The watch literally does everything I could need my phone for whilst I’m in there.
My shopping list is in reminders and shared with the mrs so she can add things if needed whilst I’m out, the loyalty cards are on my watch too and Apple Pay with it is loads easier than entering my passcode every time with the phone.

I used my watch to pay, and would not normally have taken my phone out but I took it and my wallet out to take a £10 money off voucher from my wallet. Could have cost me £1,099. 😱
