Anybody on here ordered 12 Pro recently with a 16-23 Nov delivery date? Currently got mine saying 23rd Nov delivery but was wondering if anybody got theirs delivered earlier than what it said originally.

Sorry if this has already been asked and hope everybody who got one is enjoying it :)

I'm sure it'll come earlier. Mine was 9-11th November, then it changed to 11th but now it's preparing to ship so I reckon i'll get mine towards the end of the week. A colleague of mine had 9th November delivery and his turned up this past Saturday. Their shipping estimates are always worst case scenario.

I have a date of 25th November. Hoping it comes sooner.

I'm staying away from MagSafe for the first few months - I think it's over-rated and I'm worried about the charger leaving marks on my phone/case. As for chargers, I tend to go with the Anker brand, they're generally very decent.
As someone else mentioned in another post, Magsafe was originally designed not to stick to your device but built as a fail safe, so if someone tripped over the cable it would detach from the Macbook and not drag the device with it. Apple are now marketing Magsafe as something that will stick firmly to the back of your iPhone without it easily being dislodged.

Its a no for me

Yep remember that in my old MacBook Pro shame it’s now replaced with the usb c changer.

Anyone know. If I take out the Barclays loan for 24 months can I pay off in full at any time? I was going to pay in full but wonder if the 24 monthly payments might be better given the current circumstances. However, when things get back to normal I'd like to pay the rest off in full.

Yes you can...

Repaying early
You can repay some or all of your loan early but you must tell us if you decide to do this. If you pay some of your loan early, the amount you have to pay us each month will stay the same, but you might repay the loan sooner.

Sorry to say, John on the Apple Chat is wrong! According to Apple's own website - Cardiff will be open:

Apple St David's 2

Opens on Mon at 9:30 am

Mon9 Nov9:30 am - 8:00 pm
Tue10 Nov9:30 am - 8:00 pm

https://www.apple.com/uk/retail/stdavids2/

I do appreciate that those in England would not be allowed to go there, but the statement, as made (the bit about "at least a month"), is contradicted. It is closed until Monday.

Whereas the Cardiff branch clearly has shown throughout the fire break that is is closed. (With some exceptions.) Therefore it looks as if the England branches are showing Open but with this explanation:

We’re currently open for pickup of online orders, Genius Support by making an appointment, and shopping by reserving a one-to-one session with a Specialist. We look forward to resuming full operations as soon as it’s safe to do so.

Where the Cardiff branch showed a similar statement (have not got a copy to check details) but was in Closed status.

That really does suck :(

...it was pretty obvious they would close - they're not classed as essential shops so they have to close by law.

....all the stores online sites show the same thing - doesn't mean they'll be open. The sites just haven't been updated.

If so, it suggests that Cardiff will indeed be opening on Monday! :) They show it currently closed but opening on Monday. Which is in line with the law.

The Welsh Apple store in Cardiff are currently in a firebreak lockdown which ends Monday 9th Nov but started on the 23rd October. As of right now they won't be joining England in the 4 week lockdown which starts tomorrow. So Cardiff will be back open on Monday, the above information is correct, but the stores in England will only be available for click and collect and genius appointments.

I only go on iUP for the convenience and ability to easily get the latest phone every year. So without it being possible, I will buy outright instead. Seems Apple is offering a decent amount for my iPhone 11 Pro Max. Do we know if choosing a trade in significantly delays the check out process?
