As for chargers, I tend to go with the Anker brand, they're generally very decent.

Another vote here for Anker. Well built, reliable and safe products. Also very reasonably priced.

At one time, I might have agreed.

But my Anker five-port USB charger has decided to completely fail. I have read that this is at least a known occurrence - lasts two years, then stops.

Magsafe was originally designed not to stick to your device but built as a fail safe, so if someone tripped over the cable it would detach from the Macbook and not drag the device with it. Apple are now marketing Magsafe as something that will stick firmly to the back of your iPhone without it easily being dislodged.

Its a no for me

Maybe that’s why they only give you a measly 1 metre of lead so that it’s unlikely to be in a position where you’d be able to trip on it and drag your expensive iPhone crashing to the floor. 😂

It is a different country. It is in Wales, not England.

There is a continuing problem with the UK government referring to "this country" and not saying whether they mean the UK or England.

Understanding fully the context, I have still had to pinch myself and check what was actually intended.

I am not in the least surprised, and accept, that those outwith the UK fail to fully understand it all. Nor am I surprised many in England also fail to understand, but I lament that is the case. I suspect most in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales are likely to understand.

Only Apple Stores in England - Wales/Scotland are open. Wales after the firebreak lockdown is over.
