Just doing some late shopping. Everything going MagSafe. No wonder getting richer with vegetables like me.

I’m guessing a case other than apples wouldn’t work with this?

When you all get your shiny new phones, do you restore from backup or start with a new setup? I’ve done both in the past. Obviously easier to restore from backup but I seem to remember it being nice to start afresh. A chance to offload a lot of unused apps etc...

I always restore from backup. I have my phone just how I like it. Don’t see the point in starting from scratch.

Neither lol. I use the copy from existing device option in setup and it copies everything over to the new phone.

For the past few years I’ve restored but this year I sold my old 11 pro max earlier than usual (got a good price for it) so I’ve been using a old 7 for past couple weeks - so as my backup will already be a few weeks out of date (iPhone 7 was too small storage to restore) I think I’m going to start the 12 from scratch let iCloud handle my photos/ iMessages etc

I‘m sorry to say but other than the MagSafe Wallet, the above car vent holder has got to be one of THE worst products I have ever seen.

No in car phone holder like this, whereby it attaches to the car vents, is gonna be strong enough to hold the weight of the holder itself PLUS the phone attached to the holder!!! These vent holders don’t even clip to the vents - they literally just slide in with nothing to secure them tightly to the vents themselves.

Good luck trying to get it to work......

Lucky, I'm having to use an old 6 as my 12 pro is being collected tomorrow for a refund...now I really can't wait to use the 12 Pro Max!

I would be wary of the strength. Will it keep the phone on the charger as well? I doubt it.

Why is everyone hating on the magsafe wallet I actually really like mine, just grip both the phone and wallet at the same time as I'm putting in/out my pocket not difficult lol - saves me having to carry a big wallet around in my other pocket on easy days/trips out
