I ordered a Mini but changed my mind now. I can’t see a cancel option and it’s preparing to ship. I thought they wouldn’t take the money until Wednesday or so but looks like they have and it isn’t just a pre-authorisation.

People with experience - can I call Apple and cancel tomorrow?

You can try but they do offer an easy way to return it.

So mine is due 18th november now. I was 15 minutes late after the barclays preapproval just didnt work and it kept erroring. How many people have seen the dates come forward? Or is it more the case it might go back?

Delivery dates usually are accurate - sometimes they have been a bit early.

It for iPhone but my Apple Watch came a week early.

That’s more an issue with the U.K. population, the government and lockdown 2.0 than Apple to be honest.
IUP would have happened if the stores were allowed to open as normal.

Yes and no.

I understand lockdown 2.0 has hampered the plans of a lot of businesses but Game managed to get pre-order customers to visit stores and pre-pay in time for console release.

Therefore a a big company like Apple (who already do iPhone Payments contact free online) could easily have switched IUP customers to this method.

Seems like being an IUP customer has lost its value and does not mean anything to Apple anymore. They could have put contingency plans in place long before and implemented / tested an alternative method long before a second lockdown (not like they didn’t know customers would have been due for an upgrade on the IUP plan).

To me Apple wins. IUP customers pay off more months on the plan and in turn Apple get to pay off less.

When lockdown ends, you visit Apple Pay another £69 and start all over again (most likely without the possibility / chance of an early upgrade).

I closed out my iUP because of lockdown. So I started an alternative iUP (suggested earlier in this thread) with the Barclay finance offer, AC+ and rebuy.

Is it best to cancel AC+ now, wait a few days, and then close down the Barclays loan? How quickly does Apple process the AC+ pro rata refund?

I closed out the Barclays loan first (the loan includes AC+), later on, once my phone is paid out by rebuy, I will call Apple to close out the AC+ for a refund if possible.

Yes. Lucky it wasn't the original Apple Watch, or jet black iPhone 7 Plus - that pre-order time would have you waiting 2-3 months!

i actually secured both of those on launch day 😂. I’ve never had as many issues as I have today, left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth actually. Ordering apple products has always been a smooth experience for me.

I ordered the pro max in Graphite got it for the 13th. Hope i like it, Was going to get the PB but though it would maybe be more popular being a new colour.

Seems the 12 mini is not as popular as Apple though most colors are still available for launch day apart from green. When you have had a bigger screen it's hard to go small again.
